Typical Thai fighting... many to one. THais can't fight man to man it is always 2 , 3 or more against one victim. And this dispute could not be fixed by talking?? Violence is normal in land of smiles..In schools, at home, or mothers hitting toddlers when shopping as the kid wants something... I have seen it many many times, just for nothing or simple actions people here hit. Talk with their hands instead of mouth...

These guards would be welcome in the US as ICE agents

Sometimes a beating is needed to teach people right from wrong. The West's answer to disrespectful behaviour is a slap on the wrist, this doesn't work.

Orlando, the "Theme Park Capital of the World," features four main resort areas:

Walt Disney World Resort (Magic, Kingdom, Epcot, Hollywood ,StudiosAnimal Kingdom)

Universal Orlando Resort (Studios, Islands of Adventure, Epic Universe)

SeaWorld Orlando (featuring Aquatica)

LEGOLAND Florida Resort.

These parks offer world-class roller coasters, immersive themed lands like Harry Potter and Star Wars, family-friendly attractions, and water parks.

Other Popular Attractions

  • Gatorland: A 110-acre park focusing on alligator shows and wildlife.

  • ICON Park: Located on International Drive, featuring a large observation wheel.

  • Discovery Cove: An all-inclusive day resort for swimming with dolphins and snorkeling.

Water Parks
In addition to the theme parks, Orlando is home to several major water parks, including Disney's Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach, Universal's Volcano Bay and Aquatica.

.

I have never been to one of these theme parks nor do I ever want to. It was the other side of life that led me to Thailand nearly 20 years ago. I have spent a lot of money in Thailand since then but never been tempted back to the seedy parts I kept coming back and settled here and added value to the economy of Thailand. Even if I did visit a theme park in USA I doubt it would have drawn me back year after year. Not everyone wants a sanitised life.

Unless I missed it I didn't see anything from the bar itself about the alleged unpaid/disputed bill. That might put things in some kind of perspective (presumably why it's not been mentioned).

Thanks for sharing your life story, but the idea here would be to attract millions of Indian, Chinese, Malaysian and Bangkokian families.

But but what about the reputation of Thailand as a family loving High quality safe Tourist resort

This can't be allowed to happen deport these trouble makers

You'll probably find it's over lady drinks that the farang either didn't know he was buying or how much he was expected to pay for them.

Do you think any of these would stick around for 20 years and live all over the country? Spending at a local level?

The profits would all go into the coffers of big corporations and never be spread out across communities.

why is it so important to wear a shirt?

For several reasons...mostly not many people want to be forced to see overweight gross man boobs and hairy backs and giant guts wandering around bars and restaurants. Show a tiny bit of class and cover it up unless you are on the beach or at a pool.

Its Pattaya. Full of trashy farangs and Thais.

In Udon it’s mostly farang on farang fights late at night. I’m not quite sure why it became a thing, but it did

Hope these guys lose their lousy job and a get a few weeks of jail time.

Surely one has to admit that a five "staff" beating and kicking a single customer for an alleged unpaid bill shows a stratospheric level of culpable incompetence.

Stratospheric?

Never heard of it ...I have copied this to my diary of words . thankyou for your service

Certainly sounds it's become Stratospheric,do you think so too?

Absolutely

To me it could be a stratospheric reason , possible

It’s going to be an easy investigation for plod. The only evidence is the video of the altercation but no complaints have been filed and the only witness prepared to talk worked in another bar and didn’t play any part in the contretemps. Let sleeping dogs lie. The farang got taught a lesson about failing, or trying to do a runner, without paying and the result for trying to do so. Call it street justice, it goes with the territory in these beer bar locations, and it’ll never end well for the transgressor, wherever they’re from.

Where’s this from? Because no mention is made in the article I read on this platform.

oh yeah, had an interaction in an Eye Glass shop ( Hua Hin ) while waiting for the wife. He picked up on my accent and asked if I was from NY

turns out he lived about 20 mins away from where I grew up.. I had to go there, it was just 2 days after Charlie Kirk was assassainated so I just said to him "Charlie Kirk" ??? .. that when he drew the J.W business card and started to go on a talking point mission .. thankfully the wife was done and I was able to say "see ya" before I let him get any traction.

They certainly used to have a presence here in Chiang Rai - used to see them riding around on bicycles wearing dark trousers, short sleeved white shirts and sober ties.

I don't think they were very successful, or particularly well prepared as missionaries - a couple of them approached me in Big C once, started the usual questions. I said that they were wasting their time, I was a Catholic. What's a Catholic they said!

Haven't noticed them for a few years, - maybe Covid saw them off?

Neither the bar nor the guy who took the beating.

Also, didn't the guy exit the bar with his shirt on, then remove it before the trouble started? I'd really like to hear all sides of this story. My uneducated guess is that the bars are being protected by the cops, and having it come out that they've been padding bills (and beating the garbage out of punters who object ) would be bad for business, so the scope of the 'investigation' will be limited. Craft the questions to garner the answers you want and exclude the facts that would harm revenue streams.

Beatings actually teach fear and that violence is the answer for wrongdoing. It;s control, and is why children go into their lives thinking hitting is the answer. It's not the same as defending yourself against harm. No explanation telling them there are alternatives and causes psychological harm. Concentrating on good behavior. The more you praise them for doing right, the more they'll do right and see the rewards. There are better ways to handle their anger and stress.

Being a good role model is talking to them and explaining why bad behavior hurts others, while hitting them only teaches power controls others, and teaching them hitting has them turning their anger out on girlfriends and wives and is the major reason men hit their partners. This isn't the same as spanking on the butt when a child does something harsh or harmful to others.

In this case, the man was ganged up by more than 3, which is a cowardly way to handle not paying a bill. reasoning and calling the police as it's their job to handle these things is the right way. That man who was beaten is likely to have more anger from this and also likely to turn that onto others himself, including a wife, girlfriend or children.

So speaks the woke lefties. Reward for doing right 😱 that is just normal behaviour 🤷🏼 This is why the world is f****d too many bleeding heart do gooders. Fear deters you from doing anything wrong not rewarding just because you do right

Im wondering if this might be the running "beat up" scam now in Thailand.

You come in , order 2 beers and then you have to pay for 30 beers !

IF not , you will be demolished.

It is a scam method used in many(?) countries.

Saw in a docu, they made in east Europe, maybe now in Thailand?

The docu was made with hidden cam and after opening up about it by other people, who already experienced it. Brave docu maker, as he was engaged by 2 very big guys, threatening him.

Of course a very lovely lady was used to encourage him and the taxi driver brought him there for free !?

They were all in the game.

So be aware where you are having a drink. Those things CAN happen.

However cant find anything in the article to support this. But they will "investigate" ?!

Yep, all overpriced rip-off <deleted>! Standing in ilines all day! Mind you, Orlando, unlike Pattaya has few other diversions outside of a golf course or two!

Speaking of wearing a shirt WTF is wrong with so many farangs walking around with no shirt day and night ....I get it if you or on the beach or at pool but walking around to bars restaurants shops etc day and night ?...some of course want to show off their steroid bodies or their tattoos or hairy backs while most have big beer guts and sagging tits that they must think everyone wants to see....hint....nobody wants to see that ....grow a brain and wear a damn shirt.

Could not agree more, why don't the bars say No Shirt, No service??

You want them to turn away customers? And the unshaven shirtless types are likely to be good customers as far as consumption goes!

What about 'Quality Tourists' or did that go out of the window?closedeyes

Here's a thought, the bars could sell T shirts with the name of the bar on it, talk about a marketing strategy?

Oh that idea went by and bye, now they welcome the less discerning who can get here cheaply. I like the idea of bars automatically adding a 100 baht T-shirt to the offenders account!

Most plausable scenario is probably a padded bill that the tourist disputed, then the goons got rough.

Maybe a bit more to it than that.

When questioned about the unpaid bill he allegedly struck a bouncer causing a lip wound which subsequently required stitches. Then the goons got rough.
