An American man, Matthew Blain Plymale, collapsed with injuries outside a condominium in Pattaya. Rescue workers transported the 57-year-old, who appeared heavily intoxicated, to a hospital after being found with a chin wound and covered in blood. Unable to explain how he was injured, Plymale's situation remains under investigation.

Earlier, a security guard at the condominium on Soi Bongkot 8 contacted emergency services after discovering Plymale's condition. The guard, who witnessed no physical altercation in the area, speculated that Plymale was already injured before his arrival. Concerned by Plymale's panicked and erratic behavior, the guard documented the scene and awaited help.

Before collapsing, Plymale had interacted with rescue workers at another location 500 meters from the condominium. During that encounter, he reportedly caused a disturbance, refused aid, and acted aggressively, filming the rescuers before leaving the area. Authorities are currently unsure if Plymale's injuries were self-inflicted, accidental, or due to an assault, as there are no known witnesses.

Rescue workers and authorities face difficulties in determining the cause of Plymale's injuries owing to his intoxication and inability to provide information. They also have not disclosed the hospital to which he was taken nor his current medical status. Investigations are ongoing as law enforcement continues to seek clarity on the incident, reported The Thaiger.

Key Takeaways

  • Matthew Blain Plymale was found intoxicated and injured outside a Pattaya condominium.

  • Rescue workers had previously encountered him at a nearby location on the same night.

  • The cause of Plymale's injuries remains unclear, with no witnesses identified.

It is if he was sodomized.

And if he was bitten on the cock by a lady-boy, or his GF cut it off, or he had just f.....d a chicken.

But he hadn't, nor had he been sodomised. So it is not news in the usual sense.

So, just another plonker coming to Thailand and think alcohol doesn´t affect him in a foreign country. Really? They are seriously dumb!

Can´t agree more.

A 57 year old who (apparently) drank himself into oblivion. One really is a massive loser to be doing that at age 57. It is barely acceptable as a silly adolescent, but at age 57............ I suppose, he might have had a diabetic event, or was drugged, but that's not likely is it?

People getting drugged happens, an easy target like someone who is drop down drunk could easily get taken. Could be many things, social drugs, the dreaded weed which doesn't mix well with alcohol. A falling down accident , a fight after belligerence, tried to rest his chin on his fist, slipped and gave his chin a good whack on the bar! Who hasn't woken up with a few injuries and blood on the pillow.

To hazard a guess, I would say he was King hit very hard.

Hate to alter your self-perception, but I am guessing that even on the unusual sampling of people on this forum, most have not.

You are in an elite group if you have "woken up with a few injuries and blood on the pillow."

Only once, but it wasn't my blood and it wasn't on the pillow either.

Should it not say Weed, which does not mix well with the dreaded alcohol?

And ME ME ME. I have never woken up as you suggest.

Split chin could easily been caused by a drunken fall, lucky he didn't knock teeth out.

Thankfully not on a motorbike or in a car, could've killed someone else in that case.

Know your limit stupido.

Yeah, these things happen. A downward spiral, demon rum will not help.

Maybe he is shy around women and alcohol helps him lose his inhibitions.

You need that in Pattaya because women are not easy to get unless you got serious game.

Isn't it a case of a lot of farangs needing to lose their inhibitions before getting their freak on with a ladyboy?

That's what my friend told me anyway.

The man;s name is Matthew Blain Plymale, not Rajesh Koothrappali.

He is now immortalized on the worldwide web for this incident.

Someone with exact name had 2 or 3 DUI arrests in the states.

Not a Trust Fund baby out of Boston ? Quite a posh sounding name .

The Newsflare site is more interesting for the compilation of tragic behaviors of "tourists" .

Not a good image for tourism and some foreign media is already pointing out certain amount of risks for tourists in Thailand.

What are you going on about? 😊

His injuries were from fighting with another foreigner in some back street. Then he was complaining that his injuries weren't properly treated, as he was advised to go home. His answer to that was to deliberately spit blood everywhere, repeatedly. Repelling the local populace.

So what should we take from that? Less aggressive American tourists in Thailand? At what point do people become responsible for their own behaviour?
