Non-o 90 days marriage - flight number

Featured Replies

When i arrive laos i plan to book a refundable flight ticket for (2 weeks to be sure) cause upon application i see that u need to write a flight number to proceed.

Refunding i mean i will book a second one if i receive the visa early cause i rather not stay so long in laos. And refund the first one i wrote on the application, is this generally fine to do this? Will it later say the flight number when u receive the visa?

Does any airlines accept full refunds? Not sure but was just a thought i had. Cause i rather not spend so long in laos i have all my stuff in Thailand.

Or any other plan let me know :) thanks

I haven't heard of a non-O taking 2 weeks. It's normally just a few days if you pay quickly.

Just had a friend who was recently trying to find a refundable ticket from a SEA airline. He couldn't find any airlines that offered such thing, only ones that offer re-booking.

You only enter your INTENDED travel information. Many people apply for a non-O in Vientiane without fixed travel bookings as many will enter over the bridge at Nong Khai either by rail or road. You can enter your intended flight information without needing to book anything. You are not required to upload a ticket for this. Your intended travel details do not appear on the Visa.

Indeed. It would be unreasonable for a Thai embassy or consulate to require or insist on a paid ticket at a time when the issue of the visa is still uncertain or the date of receipt of it still unknown.

The single biggest problem in communication is the illusion that it has taken place

Agreed. But in actual fact the London Embassy did exactly that a couple of years ago with my non-O application....

"Other request documents: - Flight details showing the applicant’s name, departure date, all flights en route from UK/Ireland/UK territories to Thailand"

It was no problem for me as I had a ticket and I don't ever remember seeing anyone else reporting the same issue. But in the OP's case I am certain there would be no problem.
