You are very strange. Bangkok and Phuket have plenty of unfriendly tuk tuk or taxi drivers. You never met one. Maybe you are a UK troll who visited Thailand once.

No one was unfriendly to me on Phuket either. In fact, a songthaew driver there apologised to me, as he had the opportunity to pick up a high paying passenger along the way and so took a detour. The new passenger also offered to pay my fare. I obviously have a different experience of life than you do.

I know you are a troll or a novice. Both Phuket and Bangkok are famous for some bad tuk tuk and taxi drivers.

14,000 farangs in Thai jails.

Can you provide a source for this please.

Nobody is attacking anyone except you calling somebody you don't know a loser which is self projection. Lots of bad foreigners in Thailand. Now 15,000 in jail. Many others are rude.

Omg is there any need for that about another member here?.

Every poster has different values , and puts in a valuable contribution, we all should respect that.

But I may just ask...how long now?

Many farangs are scumbags. Pattaya is full of them.

He is in Sydney. Wishes he was in Thailand. He's a nice guy though.

As I thought.

15,000 foreigners..... not 15,000 farangs.

When you quote Pee Wee Herman you should give him credit.

Shameful use of his material without crediting him.

Why should I?

The idiom “Takes one to know one” traces back to the late 19th to early 20th century. Early literary and newspaper references show it being used in informal English, primarily in the United States and the UK. Its exact origin is difficult to pinpoint, but scholars suggest it emerged from vernacular speech, likely in playful exchanges among peers.

You just called someone you don't know, a troll. What's the difference, hypocrite? Hoisted by your own petard.

What have "Cops" got to do with your pointless post?

We know you guys don't like each other, but could you please refrain from hijacking a thread and making it your personal vendetta of the day? It's so boring, it's so useless, and it serves no purpose in terms of providing information on this forum on any level.

Please try to act at least 13, for a change.

I think tipping is Great all Foreigners can afford to Tip something and every tip is Appreciated Greatly. We tipped our cleaning lady almost everyday and she saved those tips and got her daughter into College. These people live on very little Imagine living on 300.00 dollars a month and having to feed your children and send them to school, pay rent, buy food, and the parents also have to pay for there children's school uniforms.

I agree, I tipped the dental specialist yesterday, poor people.

I mean 300 dollars a month and he puts in root canals ..pathetic

I gave him 20 baht

Tipping is always appreciated as most time laborers are underpaid and 20 baht or 40 baht makes a difference to them. That's why I'm always shocked when a foreigner is unwilling to leave a small tip at a restaurant. A 20 or 30 baht tip means absolutely nothing to the average expat, but it means a lot to the local Thai who's receiving it.

The added bonus is potentially better service as is stated above, but in addition to that it's an open heart and stinginess has the exact opposite effect, it shuts the heart down cold.

I agree totally. I buy once or twice a week 3 ice creams in the day to give to the 3 security chaps at my condo

The kindness I receive in return makes it a great investment- and I would still do it even if I just got a thank you and no more

Courtesy and kindness go a long way- and the cost is minimal

Have you been diagnosed?

You are suggesting that I undertake a random and expensive task, in the hope that someone will be unfriendly towards me?

I actually had hope for you that, deep down, there was a thoughtful and intelligent person lurking underneath. But it's clear you are of very limited intelligence. Perhaps best to leave it there. Your intelligence level isn't likely to improve, so there's little point in hoping to engage in a fruitful dialogue.

It's clear you are a troll. Everyone knows Phuket has bad tuk tuk drivers. Go troll another person.

Just gave the condo tech 50 baht for drilling 2 holes in my wall.
It was all the cash I had at home and he seemed genuinely pleased.

Saved me buying a drill :-)

Sorry, never expecting anything in return.

It's just a pleasant bonus to a small gesture.

A "people pleaser" ??

Guilty as charged. Just can't resist the smiles on their faces!

Please quote me anytime I start "bitching" about any of the random scenarios that I have mentioned.

You sound like a really nice kind of fella.....not!!!🤨
