Does your chap know how to change outdoor tiles ? I need to change mine and do get fed up in getting cheated by the usual handymen who come over and overcharge when it's a nice place and when it's a foreigner.

Very creative, and at least making some effort. Somewhat like the guys in Mexico that fill the potholes and beg for coins, then dig them out again after you pass.

That’s alright. At least he was industrious and did some work. You didn’t have to tip him of course. 😋

Occasionally when filling up the car, someone will offer to clean the windscreen. That's ฿20.- for five minutes work. If I were working on a pump attendant's wages, I would be collecting ฿100.- a day I imagine. I've always been puzzled by the fact that I don't get offered the service every time.

(+ check your oil? tyres while yo're in 7-11?...)
