I think you will enjoy the carpentry option more. I really love creosoting. If you were mechanically minded, and had a lathe, you might choose to turn your peg from brass rod, and a good rub-down with brasso would give it a tremendous shine. You could drink the dregs from the brasso, which is something you should really not do with creosote, as well..

MOUSE CALIBRATION FOR 2012

You should actually do this every year. Even more often if you spend a lot of time on the computer. This is recommended by Kim Komando (the computer guru) in one of her recent emails.

I was shocked to see how well this works, and how far off mine was!

To re-calibrate your mouse, left click and hold on the capital G below, then drag it toward the small g.

If it doesn't work immediately, you might want to clean your mouse, as the calibration is off.

I sometimes wonder just how lazy people can be. Occasionally, you will see someone's toilet where there is only a handful of sheets left on the toilet roll, clearly because the last user of it was too lazy to bin it and put a new roll on the holder. Well, yesterday I saw the best example yet. Toilet in a bar. Three rolls in use - no holder, just sitting on top of the cistern. One of the rolls had a single sheet of paper clinging for dear life to the roll by about two inches of paper. The rest of the sheet was reclining gently on top of the cistern. The dust basket was about two feet away from the loo. So amusing, I took a photo of it.

Nation either loving or hating news of ‘Marmite’ lorry crash

A tanker carrying more than 20 tonnes of Marmite which overturned on the M1 has caused the nation’s motorists to react with either horror or complete delight.

Opinion has been divided since the lorry crashed and spilt its contents onto the carriageway at about 22:15 GMT on Monday evening.

“It may seem strange, but there was no indifference to the incident whatsoever,” revealed a spokeswoman for South Yorkshire Police.

“Motorists that we interviewed in relation to the accident either displayed excited enthusiasm, or total disgust at the news.”

Marmite crash

Giving their reaction to the incident, one married couple were in total disagreement.

“It was a crash that I could have watched at any time of the day,” enthused 34 year-old Nicola Henderson.

But her husband, David, struggled to express his disagreement in strong enough terms.

“Urrrghhh, Christ, it was horrible!” he said through a gagging reflex.

The Highways Agency are hopeful that the road will reopen shortly after they spent the night clearing the spill using a combination of toast and crumpets.
