What are cross country laws between Thailand and the U.S. (in terms of extradition) if a U.S. father leaves Thailand with his child from a Thai marriage with no plans of returning in order to separate the child from her mother? Are there any legal options for the mom?

Go and se a Thai lawyer first.

A friend of mine took is Thai son to England while his estranged wife went to Europe to see her boyfriend. She informed him she would not be back in Thailand on the agreed date so he kept the boy in England. 3 days later the police arrived at his door and accused him of abducting the boy. Took both there passports and served with a summons to appear a the high court London. 3 months later and 57,000 pound sterling later the court said they must all go to Thailand for the case of custody to be tried. They went back to Thailand and the Thai court awarded him custody.
