Man sorry for making a dick of himself

July 17, 2008 03:02pm

Article from: news_sourcelogo.gifA 19-YEAR-old New York man has been fined and told to apologise after running across the stage dressed as a penis during a high school graduation.

Calvin Morett pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct for dressing in the 2m costume at the graduation at the Saratoga Performing Arts Centre in Saratoga Springs, the Associated Press reported.

A video of his stunt last month has appeared on

The judge also ordered Morett to pay to have the apology published in a local newspaper, pay court fees and perform 24 hours of community service.

:o

well at least they can call him a <deleted> :o

As he's going into the performing arts he needs a good stage name. I'd suggest Richard Cranium as the top candidate.

PS anyone any idea why the top two similar subjects are "Making home made beer" and "Yeast for making wine"? Does the ThaiVisa data base automatically associate home made alcohol with stupid behaviour?

At least he made a good stand to differ himself from the ordinary performance. :o

Well that proves one thing, they can make it stand up in court.

They should have thrown him into the same jail cell as Andy Dick, the comedian who was arrested yesterday in Los Angeles for grabbing a young woman's tank top and pulling it down to expose her breasts.

Gives a whole new meaning to 'rising to the occasion'. :o

At least the 19 year old did his prank by choice. I think pulling down a girls top without her consent like that is plain disgusting and disrespectful. :D

I once worked in an organisation that had 2 chaps called Andy Dick!

I knew a man called Richard Head (seriously!).

We have guy called Wayne King who works for our company. I thought it was joke when his name first popped on our internal email list :o

We used to have a drill sergeant that looked like a prick and acted like one. He was small and skinny so we called him "Needle Dick"...but not to his face.

I have thought the same when seeing the often bizarre correlations between the topic and the "siimilar threads" below.

C'mon it's obvious really. It is usually easier to make a dick of yourself when alcohol is involved and the guy was a student so he was probably on a student's budget, hence home brewed plonk & beer is a natural link.

everyone wants their 15 minutes of fame. What's wrong with that ?

I went to school with a lad called Russell Sprout ........ (now, his parents had a sense of humour, or not :o )

The world is a sorry place when this just cannot be taken as a funny joke. Many in the audience seemed to like it but of course the ones that dislike it will always rule the day when the law takes the conservative side in these kinds of issues. Ridiculous.

Absolutely, I must admit to being flabbergasted that an essentially harmless school prank warrants police involvement and makes it into international press.

This would never have happened in the good old days, at most he would have got a slap on the wrist by the Headmaster. But things were always better in the old days when people would say hello to each when passing on the street and you could pick fruit at the side of the road........

ah, yes, the good ol' days....when I went to school with a girl called Barbie Doll....I kid you not.
