No other changes then the colour?

I assume the red colour is the same as the er6n. That is really a nice colour, but on your picture it look awful.

no else got a Hyperpro steering damper and sport bar here in Thailand?

Read the post, that's not Persimmon Red, it's Candy Burnt Orange. Sorry for the poor quality pics. Didn't have a real camera with me at the time and had to use the iPhone.

Sport bars are quite rare here in Thailand. Most Thais I know go for Rizoma fat bars or clip ons. Anyway- a CSC Hyperpro damper can be modified to fit just about any bar set-up.

Ride On!

No its much more red than the coppery 09 color (which I liked)..

Have to say the red looks pretty dam_n good in the flesh.. Theres a Red N in Phukets Kwaker and looks slick.

Didnt realize it was 'first look' news as it was in there at a guess 2 weeks ago when I went in, I just assumed new colors didnt figure they were 2011 colors.

For clarification, not that it really matters much, the Persimmon Red ER6n was released for sale a couple of months ago in Thailand. I was told it was because they had too much Persimmon Red paint left over from the Special Edition Ninja 250R. Last I heard there was still no word yet on whether the Persimmon Red ER6n will be exported to other markets.

The 2011 Candy Burnt Orange Ninja 650R is identical in color to the 2009 Candy Burnt Orange ER6n. It's Kawasaki color code 15T for anyone who wants to know :)

Happy Trails!

The color having the same name was the first clue.... :P

BTW they're also up on the official website http://www.kawasakibigbike.com/color_ninja650r.html .. though I must say Tony's pictures look better than what's up there. Photoshop gone wrong?

Ahh OK I saw the red.. Looked good to me.

So you mean that photo is the old 09 coppery color ?? Man those iPhones do weird pics !!

Well, the iPhone lacks a flash and the pic was taken indoors, so yes, the color is off, but have to say the photo on the Kawasaki site isn't much more accurate ;)

Back in 2009 when I ordered my ER6n I chose Diablo Black because in pictures the Candy Burnt Orange didn't look all that great- it's one of those colors that doesn't photograph well but looks absolutely fantastic in real life. Dunno if that makes much sense, but if you've ever seen a 2009 Candy Burnt Orange ER6n then you probably know what I mean.

I love red, and have had some red cars like 2000 Ford Excursion 6,8 V10 in red metallic, Dodge Grand Caravan 3,8 ES in Candy Apple red and a couple of more. But none of the 2011 kwaker reds are really spot on for me. ER6n slightly to dark and Ninja650R Candy Burnt Orange to orange.

Crobikers kwaker 1300 has a very nice red color.

Kawasaki sold the Ninja 650R in "Passion Red" in the US in 2009:

Not a great pic, but I like this red a lot better than the very dark Persimmon Red they're using for the ER6n now.

Thats red:)

Still going Pearl White though, kinda cool with a LOS non existing color, from LOS made Pearl White parts. Does Pearl White come with ABS in any market?

I'd have to double check but I'm pretty sure Pearl White is sold in Europe with ABS.

Thanks guys

Kwaker Phuket just called to tell me the passenger bar bolts covers in black just arrived, but will pick them up monday morning to have them sprayed Pearl White.:P

Was tempted to spray everything in proper White Pearl as Camry, but afraid it will peal off from the large plastic fairing, so Kwaker Pearl White 15S it is with all plastic parts new.

When I was 19 a friend working as car painter, painted a Chevy Blazer K5 in Pearl White. Had a crush on Pearl White since, crazy enough to respray my perfectly looking silver grey Lancia HPE in Pearl White at the age of 22. and some more Pearl White later on.

Last edition is my Ninja 650R. Kawasaki White pearl 15S has rather small silver flakes in the pearl coat, making it not so glory fitting bike perfectly

wash & wax and new stickers in silver, and job done:D

Here's an exhaust that's quite rare in Thailand-

I installed a brand new MTC Exhaust (UK brand) a few weeks ago-

EX650MRCCanSSR.jpg

The MTC can features a removable baffle. Here is the MTC with baffle installed:

EX650MRCCan6SSR.jpg

Had the headers polished too-

EX650MRCCan3SSR.jpg

Awesome exhaust- feather light, seems very well made, sounds quite similar to the Arrow and with the British Pound where it is it was quite cheap!

I am soon going abroad and will not be using my 650R for 3-4 weeks. What should I do to keep the bike perfect condition? Full gasoline tank? or no gasoline? etc

3-4 weeks really isn't a big deal. Top off the tank with benzene, not gasohol and store indoors in a cool dry spot, put her on stands if you have them, not that big a deal if you don't. I'd disconnect the battery, but probably no big deal if you leave it hooked up for a few weeks. If for some reason you have to store the bike outdoors give her a good rub down with something like WD40/Sonax/etc to prevent any corrosion. Ride On! T

as Tony says, full gasoline, no gasohol. pump up the tyres to 45 psi and side stand works fine

if you cant park it indoors, you can park in my garage

battery no need disconnection for only 4 weeks on a newish bike

Isnt 45 psi way too much? Normal is 32 and 36..

Thanks for the offer, but I think I will be able to store the bike in my bedroom;)

To avoid squared tyres, manufactorers of bikes and cars pump up the tyres to storage pressure when leaving factory, usually 45 psi. Sometimes a bike or car can be parked for months before sold. Max pressure your tyres can handle can be read on the side of the tyres

Bike in bedroom is nice :D
