Money Changers (not Banks) In Bkk

Anybody know of an honest money exchange (not a bank) in Bangkok, preferably in the Ploenchit or Pratunam areas, or anywhere in the city area.

You can call them up to find out the rates

Usually about .2/.3 above rates of travellers Cheques

Near World Trade Centre.

Walk down the Soi with the fish restruant on the corner.

There are 2 Super Rich one has Orange shop

But the best rates are from the Green shop. (left hand side)

There is allways a line up, they will copy your passport and sometimes ask for

your Thai phone number.

I checked out both last week when I changed money and their rates were the same except the one had about 30 people in line and the other only a few. Also Vasu gave the same rate. Of course this changes daily, probably eveh hourly, so best to check all. I got 33.15 for US $100 bills and the banks were giving 32.90.
