I think a cool thing (and I'm sure very easy to implement ;) ) would be a link to Bedlam that is visible from any thread in any forum or sub forum.

But this is a restricted forum - we shouldn't be let out into the real world.

Why am I unable to login automatically to Bedlam.???????

Never used to have any problem.

Flipping hassle

I've only just noticed that the member no, and location info have disapeared from below the member name of the poster. When did that go

Also, how do you get to search your posts? The old way was easy but this one just cones up with about 5 recent posts......unless I'm missing sum-fing of course

Classic Scitzophrenia, Mr BJ and SBK are one and the same.......I knew it !!!!!

Another way to search for posts is to click on the little cog shaped icon in the upper right side of your screen, just above the words "Live Chat".

This gives you a search field where you can place an authors name and set parameters for posts by forums, dates, topics or whatever.

In the box "Search In" - change to Posts only.

Only in my dreams sbk, only in my dreams :D

Found the post function, cheers SBK and OC :jap:

But what happened to the location and member number?

Should add Reputation to the panel also if we're adding Member number and location back in again.

No no no let the rep thing stay somewhere insignificant where it rightfully belongs. ;)

Who said they were adding them back in again. I just asked where they went

SBK, why does the content go back no further than 2009? :(

Which is why I said " if we're adding"...

My understanding is that its all still there, but it hasn't been indexed (or something like that, its been awhile since g explained it). But, if you use advanced search, you can go back quite a bit further, it seems to depend on number of posts as it only goes back 40 pages, tho, so a search of you goes back to 2006 but a search of me only goes back to May :P

not sure I want my old posts resurrected anyway :P

Just out of curiosity what year was TV started?

That's a tricky one. back in the 1830s people were messing with electro-magnatism, but a whole host of people started working on it as the century closed. But for sure at the World Fair in Paris in1900 a Russian called Persky ( spelling ? ) coined the term.

And before you get upset.............remember BEDLAM.

  • 4 weeks later...

Something has been bugging me.

There seems to be no way of positioning graphics in relation to text.

Is anybody able to help me, PLEASE.

Thank you in advance.

what do you mean, like inserting a photo?

for example to the side of the text simply insert in same line johnny_depp11.jpg

if you want it below the text then well, do a space and put it below it, same as above.

Or perhaps I am misunderstanding your question?

Not sure why this post demanded a Red, so I Greened it in counter measures.

If you look at the bottom of the page it was copyrighted in 2002, it used to have each successive year afterward, but doesn't anymore.

When I upload a pic, there is no sign of it, or where it will appear.

Previously the file name was there for moving as required, now nothing.

I check with "Preview", it is there, but I have no idea how to edit it, position the pic.

Just noticed you don't have to go to a profile to see who gave a particular red or green.

You just click on the actual rep button in the post.

(perhaps I'm the only one who didn't know this? )

One change that does niggle is that when you "View New Content" the time of posts is now displayed as '2 Minutes Ago' '15 Minutes Ago' etc

That's fine if you spend all your time clock watching, but is completely irrelevant if you have spent any time looking at other sites, read a long thread or done something mundane like made a coffee and gone outside for a smoke.

I much preferred when it was the time posted, that's an absolute.

Agreed. Because I'm often posting from Canada I have to do some mental arithmetic to figure out the time it is in Thailand.
