As soon as I read this, my mind immediately reflected back to the planning, reading and making arrangements for my first trip to Thailand 3 (ish) short years ago.

My buddies at work were telling me I HAD to go.

Just finished a year and a half contract job with long hours.

I had a bag full of cash and was freshly single..........the perfect storm!

Totally convinced that Thailand was going to be a life changing adventure, I wanted to learn something about it before I set out on my first "solo" vacation.... and for a month!

The excitement that built up from what I learned about the people, history, culture and food for my rapidly approaching trip was awesome. Anticipation!

I had no idea how much my life would change!!!! lol

The rest can be laughed about over a coffee.

It is once again time to get things sorted for the annual visa renewal, and there are a few other things on the list. If this weather holds through tomorrow, I will no doubt be out on the mountain bike snapping away, however.

I am getting quite used to these beautiful cool days we are having. They say they may last through the end of the year. That would be a very good thing.

A good thing to read...but maybe a little simplistic.

I love the way the women laugh here - with a higher and softer pitch !

Finally breaking through the 4000 “likes” barrier before having to say goodbye to 2013, is a good thing in my book.

Also, having another of my photos included in the Thai Visa Calendar for 2014 is a good thing.

Having one last mt bike ride to close out 2013 was a good thing today, with perfect riding conditions.

You really monitor how many 'likes' you have?!
