Ah, the frustration of standing cheek to jowl, four deep at a bar on Saturday night, desperately waving your glass, trying to catch the barman/maid's attention.

I've gotta say, the bar staff of Bristol pubs were always prompt in their service, God bless them. This one by Janis is not really a Sunday morning number!

I've got earcringe now,  get the pax out

Hey, talahnut, I did warn you, Gnasher probably enjoyed it though. I expect he tore a bit out of the armchair.

This will calm him down.

Yeah, that worked, but the lyrics reminded me of when I got

chucked out in the cold 1990, followed by grizzly divorce.

Always loved jazz on the upright.. absolute deep cool on the

perimeter. Gnasher sends regards.

is Rutland still beautiful? We used to cycle up and down its hills in the summers of 1970 and 71, looking for girls to chat up and pubs to visit, though we were only 15/16.

Ummagumma was on all our turntables, what an album.

1970/71 England and its girls were beautiful, great memories.

I used to drive a yellow 1961 E type which cost the princely sum

of GBp 300..Nobody wanted 'em, regarded as old bangers.  Those were the days.   3 years ago my old GF from '70 rooted me out on the internet, a moment of tears and regrets after 45 years.

Why is it that I do stupid things all my life?

To quote 'The Boston Globe'- She has a voice that, in mythological times, could have lured men to their deaths at sea, an intoxicating soprano drenched in gauzy reverb that hits bell-clear heights, lingers, and tapers off like rings of smoke.
