I complain because the simple reason is that I hate bangkok airways. They r doing promtions in the low season. Same in november. U wait till the hight season u watch the prices go through the roof even for 1 million year old prepeller planes.

Put the prices fixed at this promtion rate then my conplaining might go away but for these money hungry people. Giving a promtion for a low time in the year is like a millionaire giving some spare change to a charity one time in a year.

For anyone thinking about book to samui. I am writting on my black berry in the dark with a power cut. Take year 4000 baht and go to phuket air asia u-ll get more for year money and it will probably still b half the price

Not so long ago I thought just about every ticket started in excess of THB 4,000??

If you look now, for say June travel, then the starting price is THB 3,160 for BKK-USM. It looks like they may have (for now) REDUCED their prices?

Sign they have seat empty so prices go down. Price and demand. When people come in herds and flocks expect 10 000 baht single fairs

Another promotion is coming on the 12th

Bkk - Samui: 1,950 THB

- One-way fare from Bangkok to Samui or Samui to Bangkok

- Ticketing period : 12 – 22 May 2011

- Travel period : 12 May – 31 July 2011 (Blackout : 13 – 17 May 2011, 15-18 July 2011)

- Maximum Stay : 7 Days

- Changing of Route, flight, date, name is not permitted

- Fare is exclusive of Airport Tax 100 THB

- Seats are limited on every flight

"We reserve the right to behave like a budget airline when it suits us." Still its good to see the correct normal fare being posted here even if it applies to a few dozen tickets a year.

I can't find this on their wevsite. Anyone got a link? :whistling:

Heads up.

You may like to advise (warn) people that their “200 baht per 24h” car parking fee is now a “200 baht until midnight” fee which goes up as soon as the clock strikes midnight. I arrived back @0030hrs this morning (on a flight that was 3hrs late! )& they stung me for 3 nights! .

during the storms i was due to come back to samui 3 days earlier. they stung me for 800 baht even though i could not get to my car.

i was about the ramp the gates open. i refused to pay and told them i have waited 3 days to get to samui i can block the entrace for another 3 days,

but my misses was pregnant so i did not want to stress her out but i held off for a couple of hours.

Just been chatting with the appointed Mayor of Samui - aka Crusty who has just been transferred to BKK hospital via Bangkok Airways from Samui as his pace maker is playing up

He believes they are taking the biscuit charging 50,000 baht (that does include the Doctor)

Get well soon mate

I would think a specialised heart facility is required, none available here.

That's right - they do not have the equipment to fix as the pace maker was giving electric shocks!

Ouch

They give you a sandwich now, a piece of cake, coffee or tea. The great thing is at arrivals, I was waiting the other day & felt like a beer, small Singha Bht 100 , I said are you sure , looked me straight in the eyes , yes sir they have gone up. Same thing today, waiting for a friend, how much small Singha, Bht 80, wow have they come down in price? No that has been the price for a while.

I really don't care about 20 baht, but that is FRAUD in my books & daylight thievery by their staff.wake up BKK air.

Sorry, but isn't that the way they run their entire business?

If I were a member of their staff seeing the company make a couple of thousand baht more than they did 2 years ago for every ticket sold, well, I would be sorely tempted to make my own 20 baht on a measly can of beer at arrivals, where all the fare paying passengers have f#cked off already!

Learned Smokie, never take anything for granted or face value. Really disappointing.

Live & learn. The staff mafia in arrivals.

Didn't you get a receipt?

Big mistake that in my opinion....whistling.gif

If you are part of the Bangkokair Flyerbonus program you would have received an email to partake in a survey either yesterday or today,

there is a section for comments at the end for comments

Benefit of hindsight...mind hopefully if it happens to someone else they will ask for one.....

Another little gripe I have and that one concerns safety. I had a young Thai national seated next to me with a small child. The cabin crew gave her & helped her with a seat belt extension for the child.

Nope, the kid didn't want it, mother obliged, even letting him stand & walkabout the cabin. No heed to keeping your belt on at all times, even when they advised of some ex[ected turbulence.

Now the hostess is all over that kid like he is the best thing since the invention of Som Tam, cooeing & pulling silly faces, but never said a word about the child NOT being harnessed , even during landing when she had a clear view from her jump seat, never said a word about the mother having her mobile phone on to entertain the child & illuminate the area whilst the lights were off during landing.

I suppose it''s part of the boutique experience.
