1st class insurance quote from Thaivisa insurance

12.238 baht

http://www.thaivisa....where-how-much/

so similar to the revised Kawasaki ninja 250 rate

Is that Twelve Thousand Two Hundred and Thirty Eight??? Isn't that First class for a car?blink.gif

yes . That is correct.. I think it reflects the Ninja250 insurance. That's what happens for Newbie bikes and newbie riders...they make claims.. Ninja insurance started at 7,500 but last time i looked it was up at about this rate... Also it does not help that APe Honda have done bugger all to prepare 1st class insurance for their dealers. bloody AMATEURS

Side note.. Thaivisa insurance do offer 3rd class and 2nd class insurance. the 3rd class is 4,000b and it includes bail bond

and is here

http://insurance.thaivisa.com/our-products/motorcycle-insurance.html

Bail bond is very important for a falang here in LOS. it's effectively your stay out of jail card (while things are pending) also if you have an insurance rep on hand the police get a lot easier to deal with..the rep does that..

At this rate i should get commission (or at least a free t-shirt)

I must admit that is tempting. I've heard a few horror stories from friends! Apparently the law is much like Tesco Lotus once you are in its easy to get lost and could take along time to get out.

Best stay out pay a bit more at Villa Market...(they have better parking for nice bikes as well!) smile.gif

BTW, moving from an old 150 to the new 250 I've noticed very little difference in city driving.

It feels so short and so light it's very easy to maneu... manu.... handle going through the traffic.

Have yet to get stuck behind anything, and have made it to every red light along side the pink finos.

This difference between the bikes is a lot less than what I was expecting.

Cheers chaps.

Maneuverability...Is a French word for how good it moves.

A quick addition...

I was at dealer last Saturday to have some work done (but mainly check to see if the 250 had arrived yet) only to see them load at least 10 brand spanking 150's ON the truck?

What s up with that?

Several of the Phuket dealers have many branches. One branch sold another branchs bikes?

Kata have you heard anything about 250 availability on the island? Just checking you don't know anything I don't know!

havent checked, but passed a couple of showrooms today and none on display yet

k-speed in bangkok are showing a pipe on their website. 6,500b look on mocyc.com

I have looked but I can not find that pipe... any more details on the link???

(sorry, my brain is just not computing anything today... I might be working but I am not here!!!)

Maybe Allan's talking about this one?

http://www.k-speed.n...8505_th_3347716

Not quite clear what bike this pipe is for but you can always call 'em and ask.

Ride On!

Tony

Will changing the pipe void the Warranty?

I want to change the pipe on mine when I get it, but think I'll wait for the Mugen pipe to be available... it looks good and I'm sure it'll be Honda approved.

Change pipe/can, warranty gone. and if exhaust-sensor not connected, engine cooked in few hours.

warranty issue, swap back to origianl, make screws/bolts/nuts dirty and take it to the dealer

YES! The next CBR 250 will have ABS brakes. Who cares it will only be released later in the year, (Sept 2011), ABS is for sissy's who can't control their grip. Treat them like young girls T()!($ and do it lightly.

Anticipate the dangers and look ahead lads and lasses.

Time ta scratch yer sporran, FREEDOM>

price. spec any other info?

latest price list for kawasaki ... to show latest insurance.

http://www.kawasakib...room_rama9.html

ALSO.. Thaimouse... abs cbr250's are being released in Thailand in January... not september.

And if i can get ABS for just 15,000b more then i'm getting it.. i already have memory loss and a broken clavical from a thai driver pulling out in front of me... ABS MAY have avoided that..

Hey Thaicbr, that is good news. I have my own death certificate, but the docs won't let me have it. Something to do with fraud that I could commit.

Memory loss is cool, I have it too. It makes every day a new experience and a new adventure. Keep riding and lets power on?

Totally agree with you.

The bike has to be branded/segmented as a VFR instead of CBR as it fits the styling and sport touring purposes of VFR, but for marketing purposes, recognition of CBR much more strong than VFR and i can understand in a marketing perspective why Honda named it this way as it is easy to sell and i am sure buyers will prefer to ride a bike named as CBR especially the newbies.

Congratulations for the ones acquired their bikes but drive safe and sound with a smile without breaking the bike so we can get your ideas.

The"V" in VFR signifies "V" engine configuration, as in V twin, V4 etc. It's a bit difficult to have a V single!

As to the inferred inferiority of the VFR as against the CBR, the VFR400 made 59 bhp as opposed to the CBR400's 50bhp.

Yes, please, "comprehensive" for two years sounds fine. But is it 1st class, 2nd? What is the coverage? In the past, Honda has offered theft with 80% the second year, but collision is not part of it. Is there bond coverage? (Someone above called it "get out of jail free"<_<

'Course it may be that you won't get the refinements until you pick up the bike, i realize.

But you do not get all that free or for 2,000b. what bike is it on. what company.. sorry Thaimouse. it just does not ring true.. :jap: .

What you are talking about is 1st class insurance... And i have never heard that being available on a 2 year policy.

If you are talking about the 2,000baht 2 year policy that the dealers sell with bikes.....

thats only just an upgrade, certainly NOT comprehensive

example website info here (thai) http://www.rvp.co.th/service/service.asp.

If you have got real 1st class insurance free for 2 years on a Honda cbr250.. let us all know where please :)

a day on my honda- love it more and more... I did a 100km trip today just to get the feel of it... It should be well broken in tomorrow... Just love it now... Sure there is not enough power on the highway- doubt any smaller big bike has enough power, but it is really comfortable, and i am above 186 cm, and 1xxkg... Shant complain and my bum feels good... Not a ninja beater but surly a contender? Vfr vs cbr, who cares? Its just a name! Like it? Buy it! Dont like it? Dont buy it? Simple really... Now, where can i get myself a nice muffler?

Sorry folks. But it is true on the insurance.

Use your savy to secure the best deal you can. You are great folks and I don't want to get into a mud slinging match. The deals are there if you care to look around.

We are just a bunch of folks who love to ride our bikes, no matter what make, size or shape. We just what to say to other posters, WE got from A to B and hell we enjoyed the ride.

Ride safe and lets be adult and post to inform others. Just let us get together and have a couple of frosties and say, I love my machine. Personal choice dudes.

We are not the big D!(.) society of bikers. We just want to ride and have some fun doing it with friends.

Moderators, I do wish to harm others but only just to exchange my views and respect other posters point of view.

Ride safe and have a blood free happy holiday season.

Ride like the wind and enjoy the scenery.

No, I do not believe in mods, only tyre mods ok.

I am an older biker, I survived 29 years of biking that did not kill me. Sure I have had 5 accidents in Phuket, BUT i survived.

Happy and good fortune for 2554 ok?

Oh really?

Who told you that, one of the dealers that swore the standard 250 was being delivered to his shop on Nov 14th?

Or Ape Honda who announced it was to be released on Dec 10th?

Please tell...

Yeah, because it costs so much to get a Lambda (O2) bung welded into a pipe....

Dave...... I'm tight.................................. ok i resemble that remark... If you do decide to get the Honda. Easy way to sell the Kawasaki, Ask ya missus if she loves the BIL.. then say its to much bike to hand down to him as he has already wrecked the old cbr...easy ehh

then sell ya Ninja to me for Boobins recommended 2nd hand price of 80.000bbiggrin.gif

(or less)

IF I get a CBR 250R it will be the tri-colour with ABS.....we'll see what happens.

To be honest the b.i.l. needs a dam_n Chaley...that's the second bike he's ruined in 2,5 years (first being a 125 Wave-i). Either that or he needs to get off his lazy bum and buy his own.
