Normally you have copy of wife ID card and home register signed by her and dated to prove the current relationship - add a short note from her asking that visa be issued as insurance and wife should not have to be present. But it would not be a negative if she were.

Back, in the good old days, I regularly applied for and received a 1 year visa from the Thai embassy in Perth, Australia. My reason? Wish to visit my Thai gf, a copy of her id card. No other docs, no bs, same day. Forget cost, not enough to worry about. I hope that the Thai embassy in Perth is re-opened, with the same good policies. sigh.

Sorry to bump this thread.....

I'm looking to get a multiple non-o based on marriage in October. I don't have any children. I have the 100K.

Would it be safe to go to Savannakhet or would the better option be to go to KL?

Thanks in advance.

DsD.

I would give Savannakhet a go as reports have been positive and no financial mentioned but if want 100% KL is the only location with it in writing that if you are married and have 100k they will issue such a visa (and from all reports do).

Thankyou to the OP for posting.

If you have a Thai Wife it should still be available according to reports.
