Hotel Spirit, Bratislava

Correct.

Such a special hotel was easy, wasn't it ?

LaoPo

Was not so easy LaoPo!

But the Design helped for sure!

Take a look also in Google image for Frank Gehry hotel

Yeah, I know Gehry who also built the famous Guggenheim in Bilbao; and a lot more :o

Any hint for your new photo ?

This pic has been shot in the city port.

The Metropolitain population is a little bit more than 3 500 000 inhabitants

That's very nice but doesn't say a bluddy thing yet :o

Part of the world....

US ?

Froggy has gone offline, but since I am dead certain (My father's company had an office in Place Ville Marie - the "plus" shaped building with the glass room on top) I'm going to post the next image.

No mercy this time.

It is the biggest city in Froggy's home province..... Montreal.

It is; the only city I didn't look into yet and also explains the old European buildings along the harbor side.

Indeed....you showed no mercy this time :D and it was a tough one...BUT

I got it and even found your photo:

It's the city Joao Pessoa with the smaller Tambau on the coast.

The airstrip is called the Joao Pessoa Aeroclube

Quite a big city actually with 675.000 inhabitants and I have to admit I never heard of it before...but.....it must be fun:

look at all the boats and water-airplane -left- :o

Congratulations LaoPo- nicely done! I'm sorry for not checking back sooner to confirm your victory!

It does indeed look like an interesting place! A bit of Joao Pessoa trivia... it is the easternmost point in the Americas!

Croc: hmmmm....Nairobi was in your list he ? That easy...?

I'll make sure my next one will be pain.....a lot of pain.... :o

LaoPo

It wasn't that easy LaoPo. The traffic was driving on the left so that excluded a lot of places including virtually all of the Americas. The large colonial style city hall type building suggested many places such as Malaysia, Singapore, S. Africa, etc. I looked at most of them before getting to Kenya. It was a matter of elimination. :D

Amalfi - Italy ?

LaoPo

One of my very favourite parts of the world! :D

But, not in Italy.

I know Croc....

I was just teasing you to see if you knew where Amalfi was... :D

It's Bonifacio on the south coast of Corse/Corsica/France.

Built on limestone cliffs/rocks.

edit:

I suppose it's a free ticket now to post images from villages/cities with less than 3.000 people (Bonifacio) ?

:o

I think that happened when someone posted a pic of a trench somewere near a little village in England. :D

At least I always post images of the town itself, not a statue or individual building. I think I'll have to start making them a lot harder. :D

Anyway, this place had a scenic value I wanted to share with other players, and I for one, learnt a lot more about an Island I was fairly ignorant about previously. :D

I agree Croc; we all learned a lot with this game. I learned about places I didn't know they existed. Searching for places brings you around the world and increases your knowledge considerably.

However, I feel sorry there are just a few players and I wonder if it is 'non-interest' or that other members are 'afraid' for playing along....? :o

Or, maybe they know everything already....
