Your purple hate for Pattaya News is evident. I'm not a big fan either, but you could try starting a new string if you have a topic you wish to discuss?

And while I'm on the topic, what exactly is an "over exagerration"? Is that just a really, really BIG exagerration? So little lies are okay, but big ugly ones in the news aren't?

Unfortunately, the #1 topic about Pattaya is a no-no for discussion on Thaivisa so that does limit discussion to who jumped out a window yesterday, the latest beef with traffic and occasional touting of Dave at the Blues Factory! :D

Suppose you could always start another string about septic tanks? :o:D

There are 17 active threads on this page, 9 of them started by Britmaveric and his pattaya city bore, britmaveric is posting 3 topics perday on this forum and running good topics about Pattaya onto the second page within a couple of days, couldn't a link to pattaya city bore be stickied so some real Pattaya threads could stay on the first page longer than a couple of days? or is that too much to ask?

Topics are well received matey - number of reads/responses says it all. Stop whinging if a thread is worthy it has a life of its own, if it doesnt then it disappears. :o

I kind of fall both ways on this one.

On one hand I agree its knocking other good threads onto 2nd page before people get a chance to look into them, on the other I visit the pattaya forum more than any of the other regional forums because of Brits news reporting.

It does keep this a pretty active section for me but then Im only interested in the madcap Pattaya news and never post topics here but if it was in another section I would be inclined to agree more.

Perhaps we could have some more audio blogger topics. :o

I see your concern but there is always that magic button lurking around. I see no problem with Britters informing us on the local news in Pattaya but sometimes other threads get hidden but then again members intrested in the Pattaya section can go take a peep.

You are quick to complain about the majority of threads started about the news but what about this thread? Just a complaint from a moaner I'm sure others would agree Britters threads are better than hearing drivel.

And the news in here is reality, okay maybe with a bit of extra exaggeration but welcome to the news world feel free to leave at any time :o

Why ever not? Like I said from my previous post why don't you use the magic button and be done with it, you save a lot of people the moaning in the meantime.

ok Brits Halloween thread has had 120 hits or so, the sa jumps about 140, and this thread 160, this thread has been up say maybe 30 minutes, 6 hours less than the boring pattaya city lies, do you really think posters are that interested in pattaya city spew?

madness, does it = more threads than the other posts though?I mean we look at the first page of active threads and 9 are Britmaverics news and deaths in Pattaya.8 are threads posted by posters actually wanting to know about Pattaya, I feel that it is unfair on them that some boring news that nobody would read is posted here and knocks an interesting subject to the second page.

Why dont you constuct a poll and ask members opinions instead of us hearing what you want.... Actually it has already been done I think :o

Yeah see the point BT, and as I say for me its no problem as I only come here for the pattaya news, but I wouldn't be surprised if some of the pattaya residents agreed with you.

Why don't you do a poll about it? Get some figures on the table.

P.S. I actually like the news threads. When away from Patters it keeps me informed and i feel up to date a little more.

BigTony, if you responded to the threads you like, they will keep on page 1. Apart from this thread and the one about Audio Blogg's you haven't really responded to much, so they will drop off the page. :D

Ok looking at the first page today for Pattaya, if something isn't posted on for 13 hours it hits second page, this would be a lot longer time span if Brit wasn't starting 3 or more threads perday on here.13 hours is like how long I sleep per day,well nearly anyway.
