Hi,

I have the visa where every 60 days I need to leave the country to be granted another 60 days,Im allowed to do this three times.

I am in Bangkok and I only need around 20/30 days,I was told I could go to the Bangkok immigration centre but no taxi's will take

me there due to the floods.

Can I get 30days if I travel to Jomtien ? or is there a better option ?

Last year I had a 1 year multiple visa and they only extended my stay at Jomtien by 7days because I had that type of visa....

Thanks

I think all Immigration Centres will give only an extra 7 days on a multi-entry visa/permit to stay. You will have to head for a border like everyone else.

I was at the stop for the border last week but the guy running quick visa told me I did not need to go to Cambodia as I could

get 30days from the immigration office, this office is now flooded.

Anybody know how many days the airport gives ?

If the OP has a tourist visa and has not extended it already since last entering Thailand, he can get a 30 day extension at any immigration office (1,900 Bt)

Yes I have only been here for 59days and have not had it stamped,so just to be clear I can go to Bangkok airport and get 30days ?

I'm not sure what range of services the immigration offer at the airport. You would have no problem getting an extension at Jomtien though.

Maybe telephone them first

You can not obtain at airport. Jomtien can provide but may ask for a local address (any hotel would do). I suspect such extensions may be available at the old Bangkok immigration office in Suan Plu tomorrow but no official word yet that I know about.

I spoke to the airport,100% no go,the passport department have told me every farang in Bangkok is phoning up asking the

same question due to the immigration office being closed.

Jomtien have told me they can do it,but refuses to give me an answer on if it will be 7days,14days or 30 days.

Like I said before the guy who runs quick visa cambodia trip was sure any immigration office would

grant me 30days.

Looks like I will try my luck with Jomtien.

I have to renew my retirement extension soon , what happens if immigration is flood bound although I am hoping the government compex will be clear in 10 days.

Are we allowed to go over or get an extension?

The extension on a tourist visa will be 30 days. Suan Phu is taking over for anyone unable to make it to Chiang Watanna (although they (CW) will try to remain open at last word).

Well no taxis will venture anywhere near the Wattana office,I asked three today, they all said they would drop me off so far then I can

swin the rest of the way.

I have no clue where this other office is(Suan Phu),but if they are giving 30days for a tourist visa that suits me fine, the idea of catching several baht buses to Jomtien or haggling with the local taxi's for half hour doesnt sound appealing.

If anyone knows any different let me know cos im gonna get fined after tomorrow if Suan Phu is not stamping.

Suan Phlu Immigration is near Sathorn Road

(Maybe one of the Mods could confirm this, as the info on this website seem to be from 2004)

Correct, but there is still no confrmation that they will take over from Chiang Wattana Road.

Guess it is a question of "stay tuned" and immigration will probably make an announcement tomorrow morning, after they they have a more clear view of the current flooding situation.

Although above does not make it official the above tweets are from established sources and most likely as reliable as we can hope for until someone actually reports on a trip.

Suan phlu was my life saver today, there was no official notice that seem to confirm that this office had taken

over from Wattana but I went there this morning and it had a few hundred people from Laos,Cambodia sat outside, which was not a good sign,I ventured inside and spotted half a dozen farangs ! hey , im in the right place!

I got there around 9am and left around 11am,the office seemed make shift, as im sure it was due to the other

office being flooded.

They had a table for -

Visa extension - Visa re-entry - 90day reporting - and residence.

(30days was given )

Thanks for all those who helped out with this information above.

I didnt see any around today, they only asked for one photo for my tourist extension but if you need more photos for your visa I would do this before you

arrive, as well as the photocopies....I would opt for a morning visit if I were you,it looked like cattle rounded up as I was leaving.
