I have had my 150 up to 110 but I am also a big guy, this was on a fairly straight piece of road. Getting to 100 no problem after that it is slow accelaration. Neal did you get the variators yet

Moe,

Not yet they were released in first week of Jan. I'm waiting for the Zoomer -X/Scoopy (imminent) so I can get some in same shipment

The Zoomer has been on the market for a couple of months now, why are you waiting for one?

Any recent price updates on what to expect to pay for the PCX150?? just sold our trusty old PCX125 to a neighbour for his daughter today, we bought a PCX150 in June last year and have been very happy with it, had a look at the Forza300 at our local dealer, nice looking scooter but I think its just a wee bit too big for our use, so I guess we'll just go for a new or maybe second hand 150 depending what deals are available

I read somewhere here in bike forum that a new PCX is app. 73k bath now and a 2'nd hand one (150) is 50-60k bath. If I was you I would buy new, you know how it is with 2'nd hand bike here in LOS, you never know how it had been treated by old owner.

I am also very happy with my pcx150 and don't need anyting bigger for my needs.

I know what you mean re buy new, the 125 I sold was 2nd hand and we had it for over a year trouble free, as I mentioned, sold it yesterday for more than I bought it for and thats with taking into consideration the cost of new bodywork i fitted, but I know it could be a hit or miss too,

checked around here today,, prices up our way in Suphanburi around 80k for the 150,,,,not interested in the Forza but for anyone who is, price here is 160k, can discount from that

That's very cool that you actually earned money on your old 125, I am impressed.

Are there many 150pcx for sale in your area? I see what you mean by buying 2'nd hand if they cost 80k bath now and maybe buying a 150 for 55k bath, not bad and never heard about anybody having any problems with them.

Hi Guzzi, I was a bit lucky in the purchase price of the 2nd hand 125 just over a year ago, shop original asking price 55k, eventual sell price 45k plus if I remember another 2k added for bits and pieces at the time of purchase, I later changed the bodywork colour after coming off damaging the bodywork and giving myself a bit of a gravel rash.

Hadn't really planned on selling it, just doing a bit of window shopping and tyre kicking with my first view of the Forza at the local garage round the corner from us, although we were not interested the guy said he'd give us 40k for our old PCX as trade for the Forza, told him not interested, but I guess he found the customer for us who just happened to stay a few houses down from us in the same village, as there is a 125 for sale at the local garage with a price tag of 55k, I thought anything less than that and the guy would likely go for it.

I looked in all my local dealers today, a few 2nd hand PCX125's around but I saw no new or 2nd hand PCX150's, they've nearly all taken delivery of forza's, saw a local couple purchasing a Forza in one of the dealers today, sadly they hadn't a PCX150 to trade in ,,, hehe

Hi Brian, what's the matt black 150 selling for? and what's included,,

82k including tax, registration, third person insurance, basic helmet and windbreaker.

Posted

Thanks Brian, Your deal is a wee bit better with the add in's than up Suphanburi way, 82k, for the 150 matt black, but no mention of insurance or tax included, although I dare say they'll likely throw in a helmet, today there's a promotion type thing on with a few honda bikes including the forza at our local Robinson's store,, funnily enough the promotion price is actually the same price 82k, as shop price but still, maybe a bit of haggling to be had yet since we didn't see the garage owner at the promotion.

The matt black colour I wasn't so sure about when seen on other bikes before, but looks ok on the 150 with the touches of red on the bike, add in a black/red seat and it'll look ok.

The new Matte Black color looks fantastic. Just saw it at the local dealer.

Anyone know what a Matte Black respray would cost? I am in Bangkok East.

About 100 baht without undercoat, or 150 baht with undercoat. Just depends where you buy the rattle cans! Plus 20 baht for a roll of tape.....you should get some catalogues for free at HomePro or Home Works for masking.

I just saw the new matt black close up today. It looks like it has no paint and the matt black is the original color of the plastic panels. Can anyone confirm this?

If this is true, I assume that it will easily get scratched and the scratches could be impossible to polish away. But maybe I´m wrong?

I don't think so, the plastic underneath will not be matt black but more like black black.

I think the matt black looks fantastic too, would like my white pcx in same colors.

I wonder how much all the matt black panels would be and if they would give me anything for the white ones if I swapped?

I just spoke with my local Honda dealer in BKK today. I have just today changed the red panels on my PCX 150 to black for 1,100 Baht (include labor). They quoted me an additional 5,000 Baht for a full color change to matt black and a bit cheaper for the white, red or brown colors. I also kind of like the new metallic brown color.

I now kind of like my black PCX 150 from last year, now with black instead of red panels and a new black customized seat. So I will wait a little, before I make the final decision to change the color of the painted panels too. The matt black panels are thinner than the other colors, so I still think, that they are not painted. Could they perhaps have used a special kind of plastic for the matt black?

I bought the new seat from Noi in Soi Wat Dan Samrong (BKK). I told him my ideas about color, shape, material and asked him to make the seat a little higher, in order to be more comfortable. After 2 hours the customized seat was ready and I absolutely love my new seat, which looks fantastic and is much more comfortable than the original and the previous modified seats I have had. I now no longer need to change the schock absorbers, for a more comfortable ride. I paid only 1,200 Baht for the seat modification.

Thanks, that's good to know, so over 6000 bath to do a complete color change to matt black. I will most likely keep mine as is for the time being, mine is 100% original.

6000 is not the end of the world it's not so much the money but I gotten used to mine as is now but I am thinking about it, maybe in 1-2 years time when the white panels starts to look old then I might do it.

I even gotten used to the seat but okay I never do long trips, but ride all over Pattaya/Jomtien on it and I find the seat good enough for that.

I changed out the maroon panels for black. Did it myself. Added a few other bits and pieces. I've grown to like the look of the PCX body work, but I will never love it!

Only other mods I want are Zenon headlights.......and a motor with some real power.

Renting a PCX 150 for the holidays, I am impressed. This is by far the best scooter on the market today. It's so smooth.

Like:

- Idle stop

- Power

- Operation at 60-80 - extremely smooth, it was made for that speed

- Turns on a dime, which is surprising given the size

- Good acceleration

- Quiet

- Great brakes

- Long term reliability - this thing runs like new even though it's got 27k on it.

Dislike:

- Alien-head looks. I have gotten used to it a little bit but really this wasn't Hondas finest hour when it comes to design.

- No hook in the front. Where am I going to hang my groceries?

Replace the entire frame with a Vespa 150 frame and you have the perfect scooter.... as it is the Vespa back home is still the much prettier bike by miles; but the tech can't compete. Vespa feels 20 years old.

I was pretty impressed with this bike when I first bought it three months ago. Today at 1700 kms this thing shutters & shakes like a jackhammer, especially when cold. This shudder has developed slowly since purchase. The clowns down at Mityon on South Road tell me this is "normal". There is a problem with the transmission causing this vibration and according to them "all PCX's have or will have this problem". They did offer to adjust the clutch/transmission but claimed the problem will quickly return. I am hoping to find a Honda dealer that has a fix to this annoying defect. If this is normal, I certainly am not happy with Honda Thailand not addressing and resolving this issue.

I just purchased one from honda dealer in Bowin East of Pattaya yesterday, all in including, 2 years theft insurance 78000. Si Racha and OTT Mityon 85000.

Free delivery to home on darkside

I just ordered a white one same place today. 78500 all incl, they deliver to our home very near Bkk/Pattaya hospital. Eta 7 days from now on.

Thanks for the tip marstons and cordinates for GPSwai.gif , 6500 bath saved which will be used for another seat and still money in the pocket. smile.png

Would appreciate if you can give me directions to Bowin, gps co-ordinates and telephone number.

I actually planned to get a click 125i, but after reading all the reviews, I have changed my mind, and decided to get a PCX 150, just curious, how is the pick up for this 2 bikes?

Does anyone know who has got the best deal in town at the moment?

PM sent

I am not sure they are cheaper at the Bowin dealer anymore but check around.

I can understand you want the PCX, okay I haven't tried the click but we just bought a Scoopy for my wife and I don't like it.

Well it's her bike and I suggested a click but she prefer the scoopy, so a scoopy it was, it now got kids seat and a 33 lit topboxbiggrin.png .

My pcx is still 100% original but I will change the rear shocks as they bottom out too easy with 2 people onboard, other than that no complaints, I still love it.

The PCX is great even on the long trips I have made it has been a good ride. The last trip 2,600k over 8 days not a burp from the PCX.

Thanks Guzzi, so this city motor bikes is also called bowin?

No Bowin is the name of the town.

The name of the Honda Dealer in Bowin is Asia City Motors. The phone numbers I have are 0892450664 and 038345732, but they are 12+ months old. They do not speak English, so communicating by phone is difficult unless you have a Thai speaker helping you. I was there about 3 weeks ago getting the factory recall work done on the rear wheel of my Forza, and asked about the PCX150 price. The sales woman said B78,000, which I assume is an "all in" price, including registration/plate, tax and government insurance, and not including private insurance. The price did not seem very attractive to me, but perhaps there is a few 000 Baht discount possible through negotiation. I bought my PCX150 there (from the same lady) a year ago for, as I recall, B74,500, "all in" with no private insurance.
