What Time Fireworks Start

I suspect early evening after the sun has receded.

G thanks buddy, so it wont be in the day time then..maybe 6.30 or 7 or 8 or maybe 8.30 PM ???

I think I saw that the smaller even on the 2nd day was starting at 9pm. I have asked in another thread about when the big show starts but no one seems to know. They other thing is that it's not just a fireworks show that is going on. There are a few concerts and vendors selling stuff and you can just imagine what the traffic is going to be like.

Having children that I'd like to take to see the shows it would be super nice to have an idea of when they started as standing around for hours with young kids once the sun goes down is not the most enjoyable thing.

Last time they had fireworks the traffic was impossible to navigate, especially in a car, even today it took us almost 1/2 hour to drive 1/2 of the length of Beach road so just imagine how it will be tomorrow. I think Beach road will be closed for cars tomorrow night, they have erected tents on parts on the outer lane so where to park your car will be a major headache.

I am going to Singapore for work anyway so I can't attend.

Tried to google the times and there's plenty of info about date but none about schedule, pathetic. We do know from Spoonman that "Its at Night" though, so just head off at sunset and hope for the best..

I think Beach road will be closed for cars tomorrow night, they have erected tents on parts on the outer lane so where to park your car will be a major headache.

Press reports have stated that Beach Road will be closed to traffic around 15:30 and that the fireworks will start around 8. Weather doesn't look too promising with the late rainy season this year :(

Seem to remember that last year access (turning right) from Sukhumvit Road into Pattaya for the event was cut off at about 9pm..

Think I'll save myself some frustration this year and stay on the Dark side.smile.pngsmile.png

I can understand all the shows being 10 min but this one clicking 45 mins seems odd. They did mention in the original press release a 45 min show but you would nee far more than 70 fireworks and the cost of a 45 min show would be enormous.

Since Beach Road is closed, where will there be Songthaews to head south in the centre...?

What did you all do last year (to head north, presumably you just grab one on one-way Second Road...)?

My guess is that they (if going south) are going either via Soi Buakao or Third Road.

The beach rd, thankfully  becomes a 'walking' or pedestrian zone

Yeah Beach rd normally becomes a pedestrian zone. It's marvelous actually to see the road free of traffic

Usually the Fireworks are 8pm if on-schedule. Lot of waffling by those who need to be seen beforehand.... but it is a free show so has to be endured.
