^^^Ditto

That in my hands would be mush.

Rob, you may want to try the opposite fully exhaling and clearing your lungs, I read somewhere it's better for keeping still as when you hold it in, your heartbeats make your body twitch.

Thanks for the advice (I could have done with that when swimming today....must remember exhale under water, inhale ABOVE water...facepalm.gif)

Luckily, there were a lot of conveniently sized posts around the resort, so I didn't have go too blue in the face tongue.png

This was a nice spot for a break after a long day on the bike. "Vacation House" at Bhumiphol Dam.

Nice colour Rob , what weapon are you using ?

A Nikon D5200 with a kit lens - 18-55mm. I used the little wireless remote for shutter release.

As usually I can't get the size right, given up now, hence therefore not posting many pix here anymore, sadly.

Guzzi.... Don't give up. We are a tolerant bunch, reallysmile.png . I use FastStone Photo Resizer to resize my photos....it's idiot-proof (even I can use it! blink.png ) It is a free download. Maybe it could solve your problems?

Good luck and keep on posting!

I'm still in my anti-tripod phase

For long exposure shots and I have done one or more in my time, a tripod and remote works well .

It's something I always forget, to take along is a tripod.... it means stopping to much too on a bike to set up ! facepalm.gif

Here's another hand held .... I thought about stopping to see what one gets with a Romantic night, for 200 baht.... whistling.giftongue.png

Fxxx me, so what size do I have to use, nothing seems to work and when I preview it doesn't really show how it looks before posting.

Okay here is another size 1440X 900.

Okay here is one resized to standard size 1024X 768 via Fast stone resizer. Handheld shot 1/30 f1.8 iso 800

EDIT: was gonna ask what focal length and what sensor forgot you said RX100.

Looks good to me for 1/30

Thanks, 24mm. Yes RX100 M3, this camera is a little gem, I absolute love it man.

No slower shutter speed for me than that or the images are getting blurred, but on my Stylus 1 I can go to about 0.6 sec which tells you a lot about the image stabilizer.

I'm might treat myself to either a used RX100 or a new GoPro 4 black by xmas time.

I always like to treat myself at that time of year, it helps counteract my severe christmas time loathing when at home in the UK.

^^^ RW...Ditto! I'm not from the UK but have lived & worked there & the "colonies" for many a year.

My loathing at Christmas time comes from folks coming over, eating the food, quaffing the booze,

getting drunk and then the arguments start. I do miss a good Christmas pudding though.....

Put it in your calendars, folks.... We need a Christmas Pud thread in December to help sunshine through that dark month! whistling.gif

Yes quiksilva photo is hard to beat, which camera and which settings were you using if you don't mind me asking?

Here is one from my village in Pattaya. ISO 3200, 1/4 sec f1.8 24 mm and using view finder as you can see.

Ghost Town.

Chiang Rai Night Bazaar last Saturday night. At best there were about 30% of the stalls and only 5 or 10% of the people browsing.
