Is this the new version of Google Maps (7.0.1)?

Can anyone confirm the Turn-by-Turn Navigation with spoken assist/re-routing does indeed work now on stock releases in Thailand? Is off-line map caching re-enabled for Thailand?

Turn by turn voice and re-routing working.

I read on the other thread so is caching

Can someone tell me if there is a way I can mark a location on the map and for it to be stored so I can ask the map to take me there?

And I found it stores your different routes for different locations so you can just select a predetermined and stored route.

I hold my finger on the map and the closest preinstalled marker comes up, but that coud be a few blocks away and is not where I want to go. I just made trip to Khon Kaen and I could find where I wanted to go on the map, but there were a lot of small sois and it was at night. It would have been so much easier if I could have marked the place and had the voice take me there.

I just used it to show a route from my house to my post office which is about 2Km away road-wise; it wanted to take me via a route that would indeed be a scenic route of over 7Km via little sois with many left and right turns versus just going on the main road. I would have surely got lost (or mugged).

You have to favourite the place now rather than dropping pins.

Then go to favs
