Daily Mail Revelations

Featured Replies

As many of you are probably aware the "good old" Daily Mail in the UK has been up to its usual scummy activities to further its agenda and sell a few more copies.

However recently discovered video seems to show our favourite DM reader, Mr Steely Dan, performing a little ditty with a fellow namesake...very revealing!!

Folly, you don't want to hear this, but you just made my day.

Not sure why not. Anyway, glad to be of service....it has to be one of many favourite vids though they do leave out mention of kids catching and dying from measles courtesy of DM's championing of the jerk who claimed the MMR jab caused autism, which lead to a collapse in uptake of vaccinations. Makes Milburn's dad look like a walk in the park.

The only 'agenda' the Daily Mail has is to sell copy, principally by scaring pensioners, which is something it does very successfully. This does not mean it's rate of factual content is less than say the Guardian, which definitely does have an agenda, though hidden behind a veneer of sophistry and moral relativism, but this is only fitting for opportunistic career liberals, who have no compunction in criticizing the Daily Mail.

The Dail Mail's agenda has been constant through the years. Here's a clip from an article that was published about it a while ago. Sorry I don't remember where it came from.

"In 1915 (i.e. in wartime), the then Prime Minister accused it of disloyalty.

In 1924, a few days before the General Election, the Mail, aided by a conspiracy of Foreign Office officials and Tories, published the "Zinoviev letter", a dishonest forgery which purported to be instructions to the British Labour party from the USSR. The letter was a complete fabrication. However, The Labour Party, which had been in office, duly lost the election.

Throughout the 1920s and 30s the Mail supported Mussolini, Mosley and Hitler. It was during this period that Stanley Baldwin, the Conservative PM, memorably accused them of wanting "power without responsibility, the prerogative of the harlot through the ages" Personally I think it is unfair to "harlots" to bracket them with the Mail. Many have more integrity.

As late as December 1938, the Mail was agitating for German Jewish refugees in Britain to be shipped back to Germany. Remember, this was after Kristallnacht. Publications like "Picture Post" had run issues showing Jews being beaten, forced to scrub the streets, etc, so it was well known what awaited them if they went back.

The Mail also supported Franco's brutal insurrection in Spain. Atrocities were committed by both sides, but guess which ones the Mail made the most of, and which they somehow failed to mention?

The Mail packed in their support of Nazis and Fascists shortly before war broke out, lest they be accused of treason, closed down and their owner and staff interned. The elder Lord Harmsworth, who had been Hitler's great friend, fled to America and died in a hospital in Bermuda in 1940. Esmond Harmsworth, who had been groomed to succeed him, left Britain and spent his war in Canada, safe from the Blitz. Although he was of an age to wear a uniform, he, unlike many better men, elected not to serve.

Since 1945, they have developed into the newspaper we know today, ready to spread filth about anyone they dislike. The Mail has become notorious for its frequent harassment of individuals, campaigns of hate directed at various minorities, and willfully deceiving and lying to its readers. But really there is nothing very new about that. They have always been a dirty treacherous rag. Decency has never been one of their traditions, ever."

And let's not forget - "Hurrah for the Blackshirts".

It's a vile rag and the epitome of yellow journalism.

It is rare to find any media channel that does not have some agenda, why else would their owners bother to own them?

Funny that you care anyway, thought MSM was not your bag!

PS love the beard you grew for the DM video.....
