March 24, 201411 yr I used to like going to Egypt! I wonder how they will execute 500+ prisoners? 20 a day maybe, then watch the remaining ones gather together to do anything to save their own lives. This could WILL get very ugly. Makes the Thai version of democracy seem quite utopic.

Morsi was elected, but this is about some of his supporters who have been given the death penalty. It doesn't have much to do with democracy or elections. It has to do with court proceedings.

There is something wrong with that, in particular when the soldiers shooting unarmed protesters in the back are not tried and when a policeman that killed 37 protesters by firing teargas into an overcrowded prison van gets 10 years (whilst two of his colleagues got suspended sentences). I also do not see how 500+ people can all have taken part in killing one (1) person....

Reply: our culture is over 5,000 years old, we do not make mistakes, I wonder whose post is ridiculous here.

Morsi was elected, but this is about some of his supporters who have been given the death penalty. It doesn't have much to do with democracy or elections. It has to do with court proceedings. Of course has nothing to do with being democratically or popularly elected silly. Just talk with the PDRC and Constitutional Court.

It sounds like those who believe they are in charge went into the area, rounded up everyone who was within the vicinity and have decided to exterminate them. A good 10-20 years of civil war will decimate Egypt back to the level it deserves to be at : a barren wasteland in the desert.

Ridiculous 5,000 years ago, when the Egyptians were using tens of thousands of slaves to build their massive death houses, Maidu Indians in western N.America were leaching adorns and drying fish, and concurrently, Tahitians were frolicking in the surf. Just because a group of people were building large sandstone buildings does not mean they were/are superior to others.
