Indeed. I have to admit, I though she would do a runner to Dubai. But as you stated, perhaps she would like to continue to live in Thailand. So I do give her credit for having the guts to stick around and face the music, something her brother would never do.

Perhaps now she can cut the strings to Dubai completely, and turn State's evidence.

Credit must be given where credit is due. She showed up, which is something her brother could learn a thing or two about.

Read the history, taste the flavour and understand what's going on here. This coup is necessary and benevolent. They will continue to uncover the real story, finding the reds' caches of weapons, see how much Yingluck and co stole from the people of Thailand.

I think the Coup was the best idea in the difficult situation of political impass . There needs to be a very broad minded and fair rewriting of the constitution acceptable to all sides . A government must have authority to defend itself , there should not be a body that can cut the ground from under its feet . There must be an end to a right to demonstrate , hold a country to ransom to bring down the government . My guess is that reforms as perceived by PDRC would have in all probability exacerbated the situation . Yes , there are need for reforms , but there is a need for ordinary citizens to uphold and respect the law . Corruption that people complain of is the way of life of the whole Thai society almost without exception , likewise political parties are equally balanced in that respect .

OK, this thread is now 10 pages long, and it gives little clue of just what's going on with all those reported/detained.

Midway thru the 10-pages of posts, there was a single Twitter post from a source I don't recognize saying that the PT and Dem leaders had been released, but the PCAD and UDD leaders were being held. And then nothing further about that anywhere in the subsequent posts.

Can anyone point to any reasonable credible info source about just what's become of these folks??

BTW, through all these pages, I don't think I've also seen anything from the Army saying just what exactly was being done with or said to all this politicians once they reported to the Army. Be kind of nice to know what marching orders were delivered.
