Popular Post webfact
Two men arrested under suspicion of PDRC protest stage attack in TratBANGKOK: -- One para-military ranger was shot dead and two men suspected to be involved in the bomb and gun attack of the People’s Democratic Reform Committee’s protest stage in Trat province on February 22 were arrested by a marine unit on Monday.Acting on a tip-off that three men suspected to be involved in the February 22 grenade and gun attack at PDRC supporters in Khao Saming district which left two children dead and about 20 others injured had been hiding in a house in a fruit orchard in Khao Saming district, a marine unit of the Chanthaburi-Trat task force led by Rear Admiral Nopporn Wutthironnarit was dispatched to the scene to make arrest. Two men were arrested in the surprise raid but the third escaped prompting some members of the raiding unit to give chase deep into the orchard. The suspect fired one shot from a shotgun killing a para-military ranger. No details or even the identities of the two arrested suspects were made public by the marines for fear that they might be killed to prevent them from making confession which might lead to the mastermind who ordered the attack of the PDRC protesters.Meanwhile, Pol Gen Aek Angsananont, the deputy police chief, disclosed that the M3 submachine gun seized from Samut Sakhon’s Krathumban district earlier this month was used in the PDRC protesters’ attack in Khao Saming as the bullets collected from the scene of the attack matched with those fired from the gun in laboratorial tests. He insisted that the perpetrators were not military personnel.Source: http://englishnews.thaipbs.or.th/two-men-arrested-suspicion-pdrc-protest-stage-attack-trat/ -- Thai PBS 2014-05-26

Popular Post Roadman
Condolences to the family of the para-military ranger killed by these scum bags. It is looking more positive with each new and quickly moving day that it might not be in vain. It is pleasing to see the amount of support that is now coming in for the junta from all corners. Including also in news clips today from the Shinawatra stronghold in the north where large groups of village headmen were thanking and showing their support for the Army Junta for the rice payments that are starting to flow today. Good work the Junta and the strong disciplined endeavor of a few days to step in the direction to right the years of abuse is being rightfully rewarded. Popular Post djjamie
Firstly - RIP to the Ranger and condolences to the family. Very sad. I said it before and I will say it again. The perfect coup. The General was very very right in arresting the PTP and UDD leadership. Look at what they have been covering up. They are essentially condoning and allowing terrorism to flourish. This is not by the lack of arrests made or the lack of weapons seized in 7 month by the PTP police force, but by the amount the General's men have made and weapons seized in 5 days. It is through the armies competence and efficiency that highlights the PTP's failures. With these swift and just arrests and seizures one can be assured that when the General makes his statement as to why he staged this coup you can be assured the names of PTP and UDD elements will be revealed (IMO and going by current events) and just like the General will not reveal names now to ensure it does not sour the current investigation he will not state the "nuts and bolts" for the coup for the same reasons. The publics safety come first. This is in the forefront of the Generals mind. Chalerm and the PTP could learn a thing or two from this Genera Prayuth. First - How to keep promises. The General made one promise to pay rice farmers in 3 weeks and the first payments happened 3 days after his promise. Secondly - Do not speak about ongoing investigations…..Chalerm. Do not jump over yourself to release names to the public or detail scenarios. I bet the General will not say he will wear glasses and a fake mustache to arrest the others involved in the Trat attacks. Bravo General. Bravo old mate. bangrak
Let me guess... Maybe it was not 'self inflicted' then? So all the PT, UDD and so fort would have been lying to the people? How would that be possible? Would the red apologists writing here and elsewhere have then been wrong, manipulated, brainwashed maybe? Will we read their excuses here when the truth comes out? Impossible?

Popular Post seajae
this well and truly puts the reds in trouble as they were the ones caught with the weapon mentioned, definitely think the udd/red hierachy will be beside themselves now once these couple rat them out, interesting times, way to general, condolences to the dead soldiers family. Really shows how bad/corrupt the police are when nthis can happen within a week of the coup and the police being over ruled.

Popular Post Just1Voice
Would love to see the General do the following: 1 - fire 50% of the RTP. Replace them temporarily with troops. 2 - train all new police recruits the RIGHT way to be police officers. 3 - have new RTP replace old ones. 4 - fire other half of old RTP. 5 - train new ones the RIGHT way. 6 - Oh, give ALL new police a liveable salary. Then you might actually have a functioning police force.

Popular Post FangFerang
OUTSTANDING! People who kill indiscriminately are inhuman and inhumane... People who kill children are monsters. And these monsters are now in the hands of those who do not measure justice in pay offs and bribes...the "_________________" deserve what is coming -- (here several colorful expletives are withheld, but please fill in the blank with the ones you save for utter scum). Calling them scum is an insult to algae. I have always thought that announcing a bust ahead of time was possibly the most corrupt police practice I have ever seen. These soldiers announced their intentions when they got there. And still one got away and killed a soldier on his way out. Forgive my rant, but as a new father the incident that killed the two children tweaked my spinal cord all the way to my medulla. There are militant wings in every organization I have ever worked with...and that is never an excuse. I don't care which side is aligned with them, I care about who ordered it, and who did it. Agh!!
