Do Chiang Rai females look any different from their sisters in, say, Pattaya in terms of their skin color, height and demeanor? I expect separate opinions about those born locally and those from outside employed in the entertainment industry. Especially curious regarding the under 25 age group.

I would hope the majority of guys around here do not objectify the women of Chiang Rai and categorize them like cuts of meat. So you may get some takers for this topic but I sincerely hope not.

From my observations, and I observe quiet a bit, the northern girls tend to have fairer skin

than their counterpart elsewhere in the country, and the more south you go the darker they

tent to get, not necessarily, but these are my observations....

Difficult to generalize but maybe you'll find some clues here:

Eastern Thailand contains vast numbers of people from Laos and Cambodia who over time have interbred with native Thai's, as a general rule such people tend to be much darker skinned and shorter than people from northern Thailand - northern Thai's have typically interbred with Chinese which may account for some of the physical differences.

A second characteristic that separates the two groups, I think, is that those people native to Eastern Thailand have less well defined facial features, noses tend to be more squashed and jaw lines tend to be more rounded. Northern Thai's on the other hand tend to have more classically defined features, female facial features in particular are closer in appearance to western women in that noses, jaw lines and cheek bones are well defined - my take on this is historical interbreeding with Chinese.

Finally, it has long been said that anyone wishing to have fun should seek out women from the Eastern part of the country and that those looking for a wife should head North, a saying that I can readily agree with.

Just like kids grow up to be goats? Whereas children grow up to be adult humans (well mostly adults).

The northern girls tend to use their right hands with a swift downward motion when cutting off male genitallia while the southern girls use their left hands with an upward motion; or so I have been told. However it is the central girls with whom you have to be leary as they are ambidextrous.

I agree with villagefaraang on this. Women aren't slabs of meat nor can they be categorized the way you want.

My observations:

skin colour.......anywhere from slightly lighter than a foreigner with a tan and as dark as Thai people ever get.

Height..............anywhere as short as 4ft 8 chest height to me, to 5ft 10, taller than me

demeanor.........all over the map as all humans are

If you ask average Thai ladies, they will tell you that Chiang Rai/Chiang Mai women are regarded as the most beautiful in Thailand. And i agree
