Looks like it could be the murderer with the murder weapon!. The police need to come forward with some kind of explanation! This has turned into a complete mess and everyone needs answers, especially the families involved.

Please can we forward these images to all the UK press and papers and see if they will start to take note

Is there no slightly earlier footage showing the guy in front with the "weapon"

Sorry, but that image is not convincing. Your eye is seeing what it wants to see.

If that was a real person, they would be approximately two feet tall.

It could be anything and it could be flat on the walk-way.

What are you talking about? Why dont you look at the video footage before you comment, it quite clearly shows someone walking out of shot. This is the enhanced still picture of the video footage.

I actually see TWO other people in that CCTV footage. There seems to be a girl with long hair but also there seems to be someone on her left, right in the corner of the image who appears to be male but it is hard to make out. Seems like a young couple.

This is the clear video.

I could be well off the mark here but ive been leaning towards a person carrying a guitar? this is maybe why the footage has been cut and there has been so much focus on guitars that night and then later on police have also so focused on 3 guitars from burmese workers. just a thought

I think you are right looking at it again. Is this why it was cut,so as to not show innocent people in the video?

But still they can still show the whole thing and pixelate anyone else.

Surely these people would be extremely important witnesses. Have they been found? If not, it's just as important to identify them. Edited by Bunjeet

Why people have bothered taking a screen shot i do not know as you cant see sht on it, those images need deleting as they just confuse things in these never ending posts.

He should be DNA tested to end all speculation I could have sworn that his father had stated his son had left the island in the morning when the bodies were discovered !!! Think it is now time that the uk police got involved to much of a cover up it is becoming a farce I feel for the families of the deceased who have to follow this circus !!!

Spot on, Dad said he left this morning...DNA these untouchables....2 sons...Then DNA the police who were there while you're at it...

If UK authorities (embassy staff, whomever) have pertinent DNA from crime scene, here's what they could do: It's not difficult to get a sample from a suspect (the son who is in Bkk, for example). A cigg butt or a straw he used for a drink. Do a lab test and compare. Cover-up and inept handling of the case, by Thai authorities, is increasingly more evident each hour of each day that passes. We need some professionals on the job. Where is Ms Porntip?

Uk officials owe it to their fellow subjects who were brutally murdered. Come on UK, step up to the plate (an American expression) and put aside the myriad petty considerations of diplomacy and worries about offending Thais. Thais are so easily offended by the slightest slight (saving face is more important to a Thai than smacking an iron bar in to his face). But pussyfooting is not what's called for at this time. The case is fading from the news.

Crikey some people have an imagination, as someone who has recently had an eye test and passed all i can see is the brief movement of something walking out of view.

Must get back on the acid.

It depends what you are viewing them on? On my macbook I can see quite clearly an image of a person in the corner of the shot that appears to be holding a stick like object. Id upgrade your pc if I were you pal.

A powerful local administrator." This is a key problem in Thailand in and of itself. These "powerful" local administrators. As if they are a government and nation to themselves controlling the police, business and the destiny of Thais and foreigners on their turf. This "powerful" village administrator seems to be pushing in the face of the general's efforts to clean Thailand up.

You have hit the nail on the head mate , couldn't agree with you more .

And if this guy really is related to Suthep, maybe that could be the explanation to unwillingness to solve the case??

Wait some posts and the boy will be labelled Suthep's nephew !!!

The fact that the boy names Suthep as loong suthep (uncle Suthep) does not mean at all that Suthep could be his uncle or a member of his family. The word loong is currently used for all people who are older than you.

Not correct. Loong is used for familymembers or people you know well, who is older than you. Not for all people! (According to my wife, who normally knows, what she is talking about!)

Maybe different in different parts of the country?

Suthep Thuagsuban is commonly known as and called Loong (Uncle) Kamnan .. even by the reds.

Once again, the curve is in the paper the image is printed on. See picture of lawyer holding paper image.

Its not because you can see that the curve is not throughout the photo. There are even straight lines up and down in the photo. The only part of the photo that's curved is the time stamp

I think the straight lines in the photo are from a crappy printer and the heads weren't cleaned before printing. Also the curves in the digits are probably as canuckmuck suggests it is a printout held up for the camera by his lawyer with curving in the paper.

I don't know about different colour digits but I doubt they would doctor digits so blatantly wrong.

I say DNA him it will probably show he wasn't the killer. Hard to see why he wouldn't want to remove himself from the limelight of such a horrible crime.

Come on Thai police please sort it out! There are viscous killers on the loose at the moment they must feel they have got away with it.

If it has nothing to do with this family DNA would prove that more than a 1 million baht bet by the father just. Am I wrong or would DNA from any family member implicate or clear anyone in that family?

Where is Sean? and what is his story now? Does he know something?

Posted (edited)

I don't know Sean but I tried contacting some of his family and members of his band on Tuesday (their names were on Sean's original Facebook posts). I simply asked whether Sean was ok. Haven't received a response from anyone.

I also contacted the Jersey Evening Post (JEP) They ran a short piece last week titled, 'Thailand Terror Chase.' It was about David Miller's friends who had returned from Koh Tao to Bangkok where they were chased by "fake police" and men on motorbikes. The JEP said they would publish the full story on Tuesday but they never did. Again, no response to my email. I wonder whether these "fake" police were in fact plain clothes police sent to keep an eye on them. At that stage of the investigation, I believe David's friends weren't entirely cleared of involvement. There may well have been a more sinister side to these events though.

I think all these British witnesses have quite frankly been told by their own government to cease speaking to the media any further. One would hope that they have therefore been interviewed by the relevant authorities in their own countries and the details passed on to the Thai investigators.

P.s. If I were a family member of Sean's who received a message from a random person like me, I probably wouldn't respond either!

It makes no sense that one would hold press conferences of denial where a 20 second saliva swab would completely exonerate them. The police need to get that done. Something is amiss here in a big way.

Looks like the same guy in all the pictures, now why are the police not as vigilant as some are on Thai visa, maybe they not want to upset the apple cart.
