Yamaha Exciter 150 (aka Spark, Sniper, Jupiter)

I just bought something similar to the pics you posted though without the hinge. It just reaches but only just.

The bolt itself is very tight (39Nm) according to the manual.

The next attempt is pencilled in for tomorrow morning.

Okay success, it seems. The socket spanner I bought does the job, just.

I noticed when checking the wheel alignment using the marks on the swinging arm, it is important to note the nuts and bolts at each end of the axle are different sizes and designs with a different flange (right word?). This means it is easy to fool yourself regarding wheel alignment. You need to consider where the centre point of the axle is.

While I was doing it, the condo binman came over for a chat. We agreed the Sonic, which he has and I previously had, is/was a great bike but hard to start on occasion.

I just bought the 150 yesterday and have not noticed the front end bottoming or noise reported on the first model out but my bike was built 12/2016 so maybe yamaha rectified the problem,i am having great fun on this bike it is good to have a clutch again.

If anyone has sourced a rear rack in pattaya please give me a heads up.

I bought the factory Yamaha rack. It was in the accessory brochure for the Exciter at the dealer..

It fits perfect and is strong.

TIT 100%

I couldn't order it myself without pointing it out in the broschyre.

The just said Mai mee.

But when showing it in broschyre they finally ordered it.

A fairly big Yamaha shop with daily deliveries from central warehouse.
