I love the line in the newspaper- they thought it was ' probably' not live and bunged it in the back of a pickup .

Heard any reports of an exploding pickup?

can happen to anybody, you're walking along minding your own business, you pull out your car keys and your mortar round falls out of your pocket.

That does not appear to be a mortar bomb and I think the term is technically correct.

It looks more like a 105 mm artillery round. Possibly a practice round not designed to explode.

Hopevilly not a live 106 mm recoil less rifle round!

A friend of mine was an explosive ordnance disposal expert. She said fired, unexploded 106 mm recoiless rifle rounds could explode from the vibration caused by walking near by one.
