mmh8 Posted July 8, 2015 Share Posted July 8, 2015 no one has mentioned the obvious why not put some of the ill gained profits returned from the crackdown on corruption to good use, no one takes power just for the fun of it, I'm sure money had a lot to do with it. The main problem here is not the fact that this is a gneral, its the fact that about 20 % ( I made that figure up but there are a lot of them)of Thai army is made up of high ranking officers. this is because they are promoted on longevity and knowing someone in the know or being related to someone through marriage etc. If the military were promoted on merit then perhaps the general could do proper stuff like budgeting properly and actually doing some good. as it is this is just some old bloke whos been puppeted up their and hes been told his shit smells good, he beleives and now wants the genral public to beleive it smells good too.
