When Willful Ignorance is a Way of Life
"You lost. I can't say I'm sorry, but man up." Which is not being denied. Anything on the contents of the OP? -

Patong’s traffic issues persist due to private road ownership
Agreed... there are some 'pretty dumb replies'... I suggest you give your reply another attempt !!! The Land Traffic Act B.E. 2522 (1979) defines "public way" to include any road or path that the public has the right to use, regardless of ownership. Therefore, private roads open to public use fall under this definition, allowing the Royal Thai Police to enforce traffic regulations on them. -

Oh look! Jack Smith has filed a motion to drop charges against Pres. Elect Donald Trump!
Filed "without prejudice". This is effectively shorthand for saying: 'whilst I am trying to reach a settlement with you, I'm not admitting any part of the case or conceding or waiving any arguments or rights. As such the charge can be legally revived, ie., end of 47th POTUS Trump's term. -

Citibank ATMs in Bangkok?
I only use debit cards that have NO foreign transaction fees. All Visa and Mastercard debit and credit cards use the same exchange rates. The differing results are due to the different foreign transaction fees that the issuing banks add on. Some of those fees are as high as 3%. Some are 0. Visa and Mastercard set the rates once per day (Tue to Sat) at around 7AM Thai time. -

Khao San Road Feels Pinch as European Tourists Hold Off on Bookings - video
Well, yes state pensions aren't great but if you look at Europe, people are obliged to pay a lot more in to the state system than in the UK. Private provision is supposed to be more of a feature in the UK. But yeah, I won't disagree necessarily on that point, the main issue I feel is the frozen pension which is entirely unfair. Tbh, as someone who stayed in KSR in my backpacking days (2005-8) and revisited a few times, most of the clientele are middle class kids on gap years before or after Uni, people on career breaks/sabbaticals (like I was) and older hippy types. You'd be surprised at how many of them do have money....most are probably financed by mum and dad, or used savings if they work. One reason KSR is struggling is it has tried to go upmarket and it isn't good value for money, as my post higher up mentioned. Why pay £70 for a crappy room there in a "boutique hotel" which in reality is rubbish when you can stay elsewhere on a similar budget and get more for your money. Along with the fact people are trying out new places. Last time I went to KSR in Jan this year it was doing fine. But it is still grubby as hell so again, the prices don't match the reality really. You can stay in Lamai, Koh Samui on the beach in an A-frame hut for a few hundred baht a night still - that's real backpacking, not the facsimile that KSR is. -

More to the point, who failed in educating you ? - if you have a counter argument, present it. -

Donald Trump has NO mandate -- not for his election and not for his extremist policies
I guess I am saying Trump's win is strong enough to be a mandate not because of how big his win was, but because of how nutty and feckless his opponents are. The credibility of the dems is less than nothing at this point. -
