pff... likes and dislikes should be 2 different counts, anything else is just begging for people to gang up and abuse the system

This forum follows the same format as facebook.

If you can recall facebook used to have a dislike button in the old days but they got rid of it.

Don't know why but forums that copied facebook also got rid of their dislike buttons.

In what way does this forum have the same format as Facebook?

Facebook had a thumbs down button for a few months a long time ago, but I don't think that has any relevance here.

We need just a few buttons:

1. This is Thailand

2. Dumb Farang

3. Ban this Backpacker

4. This is not your country

5. His wife is a bar girl

6. You just got trolled

You forgot "go home if you don't like it".

and

7: "You obviously do not understand Thainess"

Agree, two separate counts, and no amount of dislikes should ever be able to can a post!

I just don't see the point of having a like button but not a dislike button.

I would be pretty aggrieved if I had liked a post, and some numpty disliked it and wiped my post out.

yes - dislikes shouldn't hide posts, there should just be two separate counts, likes and dislikes

I think a dislike button would be fine as long as you're required to explain why you dislike something.

I believe a 'dislike' button would be far too crushing for a few posters on here whistling.gif So would tend to lean against it. Dislike bullying.
