Where to buy PU Spray Foam Cheap

Featured Replies

Hi, i need several cans 600 or 800ml of PU Foam Spray. At Yong House, Thai Watsadu and HomePro they are about 650 to 850 THB which, compared to the prices in Europe, ridiculously expensive.

Does anyone know where to get them cheaper? Either in Kanchanaburi or online.

Thanks a lot.

IQ store if you know where to find one. Paid ฿300.-

cooked, sorry, tried to find IQ shop on the net. Couldn't find any helpful info. Could you please tell me where the shop you bought the PU Foam is located?

Buriram is the only one I know of, I drive past it every day. Looking at http://www.iqgroupz.com/index.php?page=contactus&id=2 it would appear that this is the only I.Q. House in Thailand. sorry about that. I myself refused to pay ฿700 and shopped around until I found this one. I'm sure you can find something.

IQ Modern Trade in Surin too, across the other side of the traffic lights to Thai Watsadu.

Many thanks for your helpful replies.

I live in Kanchanaburi, and unfortunately we don't have any IQ Shop here.

@cooked:

Thanks a lot for your info. Which size bottles, i mean how many ml they sell for 300 THB at your IQ shop in Buriram? And do you think you could buy and ship some bottles to me if i send you the money to your bank account? Best Regards, Tobias

Please PM me.

Part of the problem is that these guys go glassy eyed when you try to ask for foam, especially as my wife didn't know the Thai for foam. (Probably fome). They will generally deny that such a thing exists and demand danger money for handling it. As far as I recall it was ฿287.- I will go look on Monday.

The water pump salesman in the photo understands English. He showed me Wurth 1-K Pur Mounting Foam B2 in a 750ml spray can that is made in Slovenija, but available in Buriram Thailand. IQ House is Buriram may have this in stock. It is sold for 450 baht at a family owned builders merchant in isaan, but might be sold for less in Kanchanaburi. The can claims to yield 40 liters of thermal and acoustical insulation for sealing all openings and in the installation of windows and door frames in Thailand.

I bought some 750 ml cans of Welfix Pu Foam Sealant Polyurethane Foam for 250 baht per can today in Buriram. I was after Wasp and Hornet Spray and I found this on the same isle.

I remember from back in Europe that there are two types of can: the type that you use upright (expensive) and the type you use upside down (cheap).

The foam inside is exactly the same as far as I know. The main difference between the two types of can was that the cheap upside down cans had to be used up immediately or thrown away whereas the upright ones could be used then stored then used again. So for big jobs you always got the upside down cans.

PU foam used to be cheap but now its expensive everywhere. But it is a great and easy fix for many things. Just buy a quality name brand. There is a difference in expansion rates meaning cheaper ones you will get less actual area filled than a quality name brand.
