Buying Samsung S7 off ebay, duty fees?

Featured Replies

Hi, Im thinking of buying S7 of ebay (new), would they charge me duty fees?, lets say phone is 26k, how much duty if any?

Or I might get away with it ?

Reason for buying of ebay is I want faster Snapdragon model, and they sells slower exynos powered ones in TH

cheers

Expect to get flagged by customs. The price is up to whoever finds your package.

If they send it by courier, like Fedex or DHL etc you will get nailed.

If by standard international post?

Whats the duty fee anyway 20%?

Have you checked out Thai on-line sellers such as Lazada etc. When I was buying my S-6 they had in addition to Thai models also imported models. These were more expensive and I assume all tax-paid up. Buyers were warned however that they would not be covered by a Thai guarantee.

My S7 Edge is a 64Gb model from Lazada which was never officially sold here. Some places may get the Snagdragon version although more likely due to getting a version from the States with more storage than wanting the slower preocessor.

Have you tried looking around MBK in Bangkok there are a lot of shops selling imported phones from US, UK , Saudi, Hong Kong may be worth asking around.

Have a look at the Motorola Moto X. Not too expensive and I would say it has everything you want including snapdragon

Why do you need it faster, you probably couldn't even tell the difference. Buy local.

Hmmm.

Samsung Thailand website says they are dual sim, but does not seem to list what CPU they have.

I think I will just buy mine online from the website, good chance it wont be fake.

The Exynos S7 is faster and has better battery life than the Snapdragon S7. Check some test sites.
