Yet another one of those "stand up and be counted games" is only just over 7 hours away.

I am not a lover of Frank Lampard as some off you will know (past his sell by date by 2 years imho) but with players cup tied suspension, players on yellow cards etc i can see him playing a part tonight. This shapes up a to be a very slow and tactical game with probably very little pace invovled (right up Franks street),but if it wasn,t for 2 fantastic passes by Frank over 2 leagues against Barca.......well.

That's some pass, over 11 Kilometers.

I think perhaps you meant rods or perhaps chains.

Furlongs mate. Furlongs.

Horse analogies are the new black. Mourinho said so.

A 440 yd pass might be considered over hit.....

As the crow flies, yes, perfectly correct.

But if it's a curler....absolute fkcing magic.

Happens a lot at Stoke.

But funnily enough, never ever happens at Barcelona.

BTW. Chicog. Rods and chains? Are you an engineer?

Or some sort of sexual deviant?

Or both?

It doesn't look good, does it?

Nope. You are right.

We will be lucky to escape from the cauldron intact.

Luiz, he's <deleted> walking disaster after putting your keeper out, he then puts terry out, just waiting for him to make a hatrick of it and get the only goal of the nite ,,, IN HIS OWN NET !!!!clap2.gif

Well played boys.

Out of the cauldron, but with injuries.

At Madrid don't look half as threatening up front as PSG did.

So. Anfield and round 2.

Mourinho after Chelsea-WHU 0-0:

"It's very difficult to play a match when only 1 team wants to play. A match is about two teams playing."

yeah murry boy is bigging up on irony these days, me.i' m more. of an Ibsen fan. Surprisingly enjoyable game, considering there was hardly a clear cut chance all night,.And is it just me or have AM got ' off the ball incidents' to

a T ? half time nil nil advantage Chelsea? hmmmm not totally convinced on that one.

So, for the benefit of the knockers with not a good word to say:

Chelsea are the ONLY EPL club remaining in any European competition.

Never mind the injuries, the only way to approach the first leg against At Madrid was DAMAGE LIMITATION and hope for a lucky break.

We have to beat them at the Bridge.

At Madrid knocked Barcelona out and are top of La Liga. Tbh, if we beat them on penalties, or if the ref has a shocker and hands us the match I don't give a monkey's toss.

Cech and Terry are both OUT for the rest of the season. And we've got Liverpool on Sunday.

BBC reports Mourinho as saying he is prepared to rest players on Sunday and save them for the At Madrid game.

His focus clearly, especially in light of the injuries, is winning the Champions League.

THROW YOUR FKCING STONES AT US WHEN WE HAVE BEEN HUMILIATED IN THE EPL AND CL.

Until then, try and keep some perspective.

Stop fkcing MOANING StevieG.

We are going to do City no favours by the looks of it.

If Mourinho pragmatism means Chelsea's second 11 beat Liverpool, I will be wetting my fkcing knickers.

He's given up on the EPL. Only trophy we can win now is CL.

Captain and GK, stalwarts of the team are OUT.

Get it. Chelsea are badly weakened for the run in.

"given up on the EPL my hole". you appear to be buying his tissue-thin PR garbage more than anyone mate.

I'm sick and tired of people knocking success.

Believe what you want to believe about Mourinho.

Your statement:

"it's not called fear of failure, it's called getting his excuses in once again."

This does not fit with his winning CV.

It fits with the CV of a loser.

You understand that concept I assume.

Posted

He's going sh** or bust for the CL.

He obviously needs a conversation with Abramovich before the Club commits.

"Fear of failure", despite what Wenger says, is NOT where he is coming from.

He's a risk taker.

The paradox of what many see as a negative style of football is not easy to grasp unless you can completely understand Mourinho.
