BANGKOK: -- The lawyer acting for claimants in the sensational "Lady Kai" case that is captivating the Thai public says that more victims have come forward and that there is a case to answer that they were underage and trafficked not just to Hong Kong but neighboring countries.

It is alleged that "Lady Kai" - in reality just plain Monta Yokratanakan, 56 - procured the girls to work in casinos offering sexual services for VIP clients, reported Thairath.

Human rights lawyer Songkan said that it is plain that politicians are involved and that "big police" and military men are involved in the alleged trafficking.

CSD police are also now investigating the matter of a cache of passports that were seen scattered on a bed during a video call that Lady Kai made with a well known newspaper. They may seek a warrant to search the premises to look for evidence vital to the case.

Monta reported to Prachacheun police yesterday evening after returning from her trip to a temple in Phitsanulok. She formally acknowledged receipt of a request to meet with officers on Sunday and reiterated that she has no intention of fleeing and will let the courts decide her fate.

The case was blown wide open after an engineering student called Koy claimed that her and her family were maliciously accused of theft after she had refused a lucrative job offer in Hong Kong. It is further claimed that at least one woman has been wrongly imprisoned with many others alleging they have been victims at the hands of Lady Kai both in terms of human trafficking and false charges laid against them.

She denies any wrong doing.

Anyone dumb enough to leave passports on a bed in the background while making a video call to a major newspaper cannot be the brains behind this alleged trafficking of young women.

Makes you wonder how the real players will act to make this case go away. Money might not be enough...

The passport/ s were reported to have been issued during yingluck' s watch, to countries that it just so happens thaksin has made numerous business deals with and /or visited.

You never know who some people are pimping for, or where /how they find the potential company that they have been requisted to find.

Madam Kai

My guess is she has no immediate travel plans as I would assume some other countries may be more forward in arresting and charging her with offences committed within their jurisdiction.

But the short list will dwindle as she works out who has extradition treaties with which other countries, my guess is with latest revelations it will not just be Thailand or Hong Kong she will be trying to avoid.

Now with her name hitting the international press some countries may well ban her entering.

Maybe she should consult thaksins cohort, the lady with a strong friendship / business relationship with mugabe in Zimbabwee.

Why is the high ranking policeman not named? Or even questioned yet?

The BP states that they are now investigating lese majeste charges against 'Lady Kai'. So this whole thing could start unraveling very quickly. This articel states that in addition to politicians, "big police" and military men are also involved. What are the odds that this will go beyond 'Lady Kai' and snare any of these people?

Just can't see the junta going after their own, or 'big' police. Politicians, yes.

How stupid must she be? Probably had them out and about to quickly stuff them in a bag to throw on a river when the phone rang. Hahaha!

RTP answering machine: "This is the BiB. We can't be bothered to come to the phone right now, as we are very busy dropping hints for "Lady Kai" to get rid of evidence prior to us having to search her home. Boy, is she dense, and believe us, we know dense!"

Another people linking with YL regime......

PTP still dirty secrets to hide

I hope you are not so naive as to think only one side of the aisle is dirty. When you own both sides of the coin, doesn't matter if comes up heads or tails.

It really depends who this "Lady" has contacts with, the current or the previous or both. Anyway, good innocent people are being cleared, if you can't clear up the system at least mitigate its bad effects. People like Lawyer Songkran have my respect, as indeed do the Thai people, for seeing this for what it is. Mostly they're just pawns in the system, as we all are.

sounds like madam kai has been acting out her nasty business for years without any problems with the law. think leaving a pile of passports, while it may have been accidental shows that just how untouchable she really thinks she is. with all the witnesses coming forward i feel there is a chance for justice here. just a chance mind you as the wheels of justice are so easily derailed by money in this country.

Quite so. The showing of the passports was for a reason, the woman is obviously not stupid.

I'm presuming she 'allowed' them to be seen was a desperate attempt to shore up support from her "connections" who of course had their hands out for the rake off.

Will be interesting to see if those "connections" are ever brought to light.

I won't be holding my brerath for that to happen - this is Thailand.

And who's passports are they? Some poor Thai girls stuck in a casino in HK, Laos etc. How would they manage to get away without passports?

Anyway, it seems the authorities are in no rush to collect them as evidence anyway.... Obviously better leave THAT can of worms unopened!

shes a walking corpse and those on her side are fish food. . How many girls do you think will ever return after this story hits? zero. those passports will be destroyed so they can not use it against them.

To save life, I went as far as to rub against the shoulders of guys in Macau.

Mr Stanley Ho would be very smart to give me this lady on a silver platter so his association can remain intact.

Returning one or all of them would be a fair exchange and will prove your in control and that Macau has no evil business there.

I have already amassed secret footage collected at SUAN PUU THAI immigration which shows HOW they traffic their victims. funny how you pay 2000 baht to be deported home just to end up sold a slave. I am not selling the information. instead a random corrupt politician will happen to have it in their ...unhacked ... account exposed. (thanks for not giving a flying fk about security thailand)

Only the media brings it these days to the public eye.

The BIB MAY seek a search warrant to look for evidence vital to the case and of course IF they bother the evidence will of course still be there for them to find !

cheesy.gif

Come on NK this is a 5 star joke not a one. The WW from the West looks so innocent standing there and yes what is the story on the passports. Even if they "disappear" they are still on video tape not to smart lady and I use the term loosely. As human trafficking seems to be the flavor of the year maybe our PM should get involved to show the seriousness in all of this. Hey Mortimer where are you???

Just one question; why is she in possession of the passports of 20 other people?
