It appears that hackers are digging deep into this game (BBC News) I would suggest you give it a wide berth

Berth, wonderful you gave me something to think about and to check it out

early 17th century (in the sense ‘adequate sea room’): probably from a nautical use of bear1 + -th2.

But you are right this game is such an obvious Target with its worldwide acceptance.

Well if you download it from the Play store or Apple store you should be okay but likely not released here yet, it's only the doubtful download sites that should be avoided or follow the instructions as per frankphuket's link.

Nintendo's shares rose over 20% after the reality game was released.

Seems like people playing it are braking limps because they don't see where they are going but are glued to the screen, crazy but likely a game changer for things to come.

The world is going mad.

Now not only they stare to their smartphone while walking/driving for video chat / - phone / watch or take selfie #100 of the day, see "what I had for lunch" photos.

NO! Now they exclusively interact with their environment through their smartphone cam.

They already had to forbid people catching virtual monsters in the holocaust memorial in Israel !!!!

I see them wander through the grand palace on the hunt for pokemon bah.gifblink.pngblink.pngbah.gif

Traffic accident numbers in Germany are on the rise again supposedly by those busy people fiddling on their smartphone while driving.

Now they can catch monsters on the road?

People will fall into the subway/railway track beds, stumbling over the pier.

More deaths to come.

The word is a madhouse.

Never will I install such BS.

I agree , nevertheless I would want to satisfy my curiosity . I will not because I need to protect my wife from it.

But I'm afraid friends will show it to her.

I have downloaded the apk file and after about 6 attempts It connected to the server and I was able to play for about 15 minutes, I caught my first pokemon near a gas station in on nut... Lol

I was walking around for a few minutes trying to follow the directions to catch the next one and then I gave up....

I probably won't play it again but I can see why it will be addictive, it does take a fair chunk of battery life to play it because it uses your cameras, data connection, maps and GPS all at the same time so I expect anyone who wants to play it for a while still need an additional PowerBank...

You would have to be a complete retard to try and play it while you're driving any vehicle though... So I'm guessing it will be a huge success in thailand lol

Did you hear any ambulance sirens shortly after you left the gas station?
