''Youssef Bemhatoun, from Italy and Othmane Tigzirine, a Moroccan''

Hmm, very little sympathy being shown to these 2 guys...

Wonder why?

Lets be thankful no joker has come along and said "Wow!, Youssef Bemhatoun doesn't sound like an Italian name".....Yet.

Mario Ballotelli sounds about right.

So they were pushing their rented bike because they had run out of petrol, but yet the thief had managed to ride away on their rented bike with no apparent petrol in it.

Just in case anyone is interested to know how  this happened, I was in the Beach Bar at Sam Roi Yod on Friday night and got the story.

The Thai guys rode past the tourists who were pushing  the motorcycle. They returned with a whiskey bottle full of petrol. Under the guise of being good samaritans wanting to help the tourists, they refilled the motorcycle. The tourists guard was down after these guys were seemingly there to help, and then turned on them.

He must have been wearing one if those fake amulets made in China.

They obviously weren't attending their Muay Thai lessons either.

Only 3 against 2 with the one guy looking like a giant.

There is more to this story than what these 2 are stating.

Actually quite easy, you see Thais do it all the time when a bike has run out of gas - another bike pushes it along.

Just cos they were doing Muay Thai classes doesn't mean they are superheroes -- they might be total beginners to the sport, and as the report said they thought the men were coming to help them, so they are not wary or on guard,

But hey, don't let facts get in the way of the TVF super sleuths

Thanks for that. You, Dex19, and the news update above, have pretty much wrapped this up.

The article also stated the Thais passed by the pair once. Its possible they grabbed a small container of gas when the decided to go rob the pair.

Well Gents,

It looks like I wrapped up this case several days ago.

When are the next round of promotions for TVF crimesolvers?
