December 6, 20169 yr I was in Yamaha Bangkok today. I asked if they sell the luggage for the "Tracer" now known as FJ-09 in Thailand (and some other countries). The guy said if you go for the "full option" version, the panniers are included. There is also some difference to the headlight. I did not know about this "full option" version. It is not on the website. He gave me a brochure which I thought would have all the details but it doesn't. So, unfortunately, I missed the opportunity to get all the details particularly the cost. Does anybody know the details of this "full option" FJ-09? The panniers look great. I never liked the pannier options offered by Triumph or Honda of a couple of aluminium treasure chests on either side of the bike.
December 6, 20169 yr Good question, I can't find anything about the "full option" thing. There's nothing on the price lists. Maybe ask another dealer?
December 6, 20169 yr Author I will probably give Yamaha Bangkok a phone but I prefer something written from a trusted source. Employees say all sorts of inaccurate things over the phone in Thailand. I live in Sri Racha and could visit the Pattaya branch but the sales staff also just make things up, particularly if they don't know. And this could be something that only Yamaha Bangkok are offering. Probably best to contact both and then compare their answers. (Customer becomes cop!) (That's trust for you!)
December 7, 20169 yr Which Yamaha dealer was it? I was at the new one on Kaset-Nawamin Road a few weeks back and they had the full option model on display (as well as the MT-10, an R1M, limited edition SR400 etc.) It was a lovely looking bike and the panniers really compliment the look, I asked them how much but I can't remember the exact price now. Maybe 480,000 Baht? Don't quote me on that but maybe pop in and have a look, hopefully it's still in there on display.

That specific bike is now at the Motor Show so they did not have another "full option" Tracer in. Only somebody's bike in for a service. I just thought I wonder if this is a limited promotion for the Motor Show. I hope not. I need to ponder this before committing.
