TrueVisions to stop airing 6 movie channels including HBO

You bet your butt there are going to be an immerse increase in complaints---and cancellations....to include from me!

And where True said it would find replacements...it didn't say by when....probably a some movie channels no one has heard of but True can get them cheap....maybe even some free-to-air movie channels.

True Visions plans to stop airing 6 movie channels including HBO from January 1, 2017, according to Supinya Klangnarong, a member of the National Telecommunications and Broadcasting Commission.

In her tweets, Supinya said that the cable TV operator asked for the regulatory body's approval, citing complications in a business deal. It promised to find replacements. The NBTC meeting will be convened this afternoon. 

She said the request was submitted fewer than 30 days before the cancellation would take place, which was against the broadcasting regulations. 

She expected an immense increase in complaints from cable TV customers next year.

I just called TrueVisions Customer service to confirm they are cancelling the 6 movie channels 1 Jan 17 as mentioned in the newspaper article. The TrueVisions rep confirmed its true but they were still negotiating with HBO.

 

I expressed my dissatisfaction and told them I would probably cancel if this occurs.  The rep said she would pass along my feedback.  

 

The rep also didn't have any idea what the replacement movie channels may be.

That really sucks man, True is truly turning into <deleted> and is not worth the money anymore. 

 

Same greedy bastards was forced dropping their prices a lot on fast fiber inter-net so now they don't want to pay the cost for HBO.
