Cha-Am police were called to a school after a fire broke out in front of teachers' quarters last night.

A motorcycle belonging to a teacher named as Montree, 52 was completely destroyed and another one was badly damaged. Montree had only bought his Honda four days ago and it had yet to be fitted with a registration plate.

Montree - a student services teacher at Ratchaprachanukhro School 47 in Petchaburi - said he  had been awoken by colleagues who saw the fire. They put the blaze out themselves but the damage was extensive.

Police said that Montree had just joined the school and was strict and insisting on rules being followed. They suspect that an unhappy student or students were responsible.

Fragments of a glass bottle that contained gasoline were found near the ashes of the bikes.

Looks like Montree was not aware of the 'no fail' policy.

probably asked the students to turn their phones off.

he is lucky to be alive.

Guess he can use his "new broom" to clean up his bike!!

hmm.. students thought of that all by themselves?
