I've been to Thailand twice before.  Both times I had to fill out a little card on the flight, which I handed to the official at immigration along with my passport.  I was not charged any money for this.

This time, I'm visiting Cambodia first, then crossing the land border at Poi Pet, and I've been told to check the visa requirements as they are different.  I'm a UK passport holder, so I come under the Tourist Visa Exemption, which says I can stay for up to 30 days, but it appears that when entering the country via the land border, this is only 15 days??  I'm staying for 21 days, so do I need to get a visa before I travel?  Will I be able to stay for 21 days?  And will it cost money?

It is 30 days.

You can only make two visa exempt entries by land in each calendar year.

Non G7 countries were limited to 15 days (not U.K.), but that was increased to 30 days from Jan 1st. So now everyone gets 30.

Thanks guys.  So if I show up at Poi Pet with my UK passport and my ticket for my flight home, I won't have any problems?  Just a bit concerned about all these scams I hear about with fake immigration offices, where they tell you you have to pay for a visa.

I'm thinking about making the trip with Giant Ibis.  I put a post up asking if anyone had used them to make the crossing and if they are any good.  Their other routes seem to have very good reviews, so I'm hoping it might make the process a little smoother.

Based on the information you've given you shouldn't have any problem.

Thanks for the advice.  I think I should be ok.

Just want to apologise, as I've just realised I've accidentally posted this question twice.  I was getting notifications and when I came back to check, it looked like comments were deleted, but it was just because it was on the other thread.  I'm such an idiot, lol.
