My friend Hans will tell you more so, guys, fasten you seat belts [emoji1]

This is the tower 3 of the KHEHA CONDO at Thepprasit Road and I would say 5000 is expensive for that very basic place. I know people who pay 3.900 in this town for a single unit that is A LOT nicer and more modern furniture.

In Bangkok you can get Thai-style apartments for 2.500 for example in the student areas, such as Huamak / Lat Phrao.

Nothing wrong with this. Scores of people live like that in Thailand and they all survive. Great infrastructure around KHEHA, The Tesco is at your doorstep, night market adjacent, Baht Buses run down to Thappraya road, food galore. I have friends who stay in Tower 1, albeit in a much larger corner unit of approx 65 sqm with 3 balconies, they pay 6.000 plus utilities.

Those prices seem really cheap for a nicely modern furnished room.

2,000 baht rooms around the "Kheha"  at Na-Jomtien are unfurnished with an untiled balcony and no kitchen or aircon,

also no mosquito screens or metal bars on windows and doors that the Thais seem to love (to me its a bonus not to have them )

For a nicely fully furnished room which the owner spent as much on furniture and decoration as the room cost she is asking  6000 a month with no takers yet  previously it was rented to a French woman long term for 5000 a month.

Aircon and chipboard furniture with rudimentary kitchen and maybe a fridge 3500 baht

all rooms are standard 33 square meters, electricity paid to the PEA at standard rates, water is metered and paid to the management company at a slightly higher rate than normal ( due to it being stored underground and pumped )  there is also a 250 baht per month common area fee that pays for the hallway lights road sweeping, rubbish collection, grass cutting etc.

@swissmaninthailand: had to smile that you did the Thai style mixup "Australia" vs. "Austria" and his response: "Austria, no cangaroo"

It makes my 25K per month townhouse seem like a bargain. He's paying more per square meter than I do.

Perhaps OK for a few months if you're 'in-between' places, but now I understand why there are so many Pattaya Flyers :shock1:
