Unfortunately I am going to have to close this thread after the current question has been answered ????

  • Kanu (Champions League with Ajax , Premier League and FA Cup with Arsenal,  UEFA Cup with Inter,  FA Cup again and relegation with Portsmouth)

I thought that would have taken a bit longer , well done .

I think it has got a fair amoumt of publicity. I thought the Spurs fans would have beat me to it.

New question. 2 Busby Babes from the late 50s / early 60s who didn't make a name at Old Trafford as players. They did go on to be well known managers. I have jumbled up their initials. Who are they?

B G F I.

I know one of them I.G. stumped on the other.

OK i take it thats right so heres a new question  messi has scored against every spainish la liga team. But who has he scored the most against and how many.has he scored against them.

I would have to guess wildly; absolutely no idea.

BTW. Barry Fry and Ian Greaves was correct. ?. Big hand for 3 minus 2.

Most likely a multi answer given his scoring rates

"So what you saying BB"

That questions shouldn't be as obscure as that last one on Csrragher so that people might have a chance of getting it. But you knew that, right?

Was an awful question. That's 2 times we had questions up which have been impossible to answer.  I'm still investigating UWE Seeler actual goals scored some very dubious records about and given he's a German you'd think they were all singing the same hymn. I'm also looking at Toshack role in the 77 european cup run to see whether he contributed. Wilai you got any info on that?

Regarding John Toshack.

" At 27 years of age, he should have been approaching his peak as a player but injury meant that he missed the last part of the 1976/77 season and he could only watch and admire as his colleagues won the European Cup for the first time "

Thanks NE1 but he contributed in other games relating to that competition in that year is my question?

According to his Stats on the same LFC History page he never won the European Cup.

Honours: League Championship 1972/73, 1975/76, 1976/77; FA Cup 1974; UEFA Cup 1973, 1976
LFC league games/goals: 172 / 74
Total LFC games/goals: 247 / 96

New question. Hardly anyone wears black boots these days. Which English player is generally accepted as being the first one not to wear black and what colour did he wear?

Marvin Hinton , White ones.
