Former Khon Kaen MP Nawat Tohcharoensook is to be indicted with the charge of ordering the murder of a Khon Kaen provincial councilor four years ago.

 

Mr Vichai Thanyawanich, director-general of Region 4 Public Prosecution, on Thursday signed an order to proceed with indicting Mr Nawat for allegedly ordering the murder of Mr Suchart Kotethum, a former member of Khon Kaen provincial administration organization (PAO).

 

Five accomplices who include policemen and civilians were arrested and charged three years ago. One of them was sentenced to death and four others give life imprisonment by the Criminal Court. The sentences were upheld by the Appeals Court and the case is pending with the Supreme Court.
