BANGKOK: -- His Majesty the King has dispatched troops from His Majesty’s Bodyguard to remove water hyacinth and weeds and dredge two Bangkok canals.

 

The soldiers on Wednesday joined other palace officials, government representatives and volunteers in scouring canals in Bang Khen and Wang Thong Lang districts as a safeguard against flooding.

 

Work was done on Klong Krached along Soi Ram Indra 5 in Tha Raeng sub-district in Bang Khen and Klong Bang Krabua on Soi Ramkhamhaeng 21 in Wang Thong Lang district.
