PATTAYA: -- "Tawandang Pattaya Variety" is suing sexy country singer Lamyai and a celebrity friend after a concert at the resort left fans furious.

Lamyai is the teen "mor lam" starlet who created a sensation last month with her twerking that caused prime minister Prayut Chan-ocha to order her to stop being so suggestive and cover up.

She was supposed to appear at the popular Pattaya venue on July 1st with another well known singer called Arm Chutima from 12.30 am until closing time at 2am.

But the venue claims that Lamyai, 18, was half an hour late and her performance was tired and listless. It was one of several performances done by the singer that night on a tour of Chonburi.

In addition Arm did not bother to show up at all.

There were more than 1,000 people at the venue many of whom had paid 200 baht per ticket for the eagerly anticipated late night concert.

Executive Natset Satjamano said that the singers had failed to fulfil their contractual obligations causing considerable losses and difficulty to his venue.

Lamyai could only perform for an hour and her performance was tired and uninteresting, he said.

A report has been lodge for damages with the Pattaya police.

How, did they pay people their 200 baht back?

I thought maybe autotune broke or something like that...

Who wants to take wagers on whether or not the venue offered their valued customers a full refund? Ever try to get a refund from a Thai man, or a small business?

200 baht a ticket?  You get what you pay for.

If they haven't repaid the ticket money then there is no loss? :whistling:

they sold 1000 tickets and now they have to pay back 30 000 people .....................

So 29 000 tickets were sold under the table...........55555

She looked more energetic than any dancer I've ever seen at a Thai gogo bar.

I should do the same over some of the starfish I've rented over the years.

Wow!!! A venue being upset with a performer. That's a first...let's run to the Police and tell them we didn't make enough money on the bar and sue the performer.  Looks like to me she is dancing around, getting pics with fans...unless that is another concert somewhere else.

Does it ever stop here...Local Government suing Press for a headline, venue suing the performer for being 'uninteresting' ...

no "twerking" becomes an automatic refund to the customers :cheesy::cheesy:

Going rate is about 50bt per Twerk so they need 4 Twerks to get their moneys worth

First fans want her to dance in traditional Thai style,
now a Venue owner is not happy because she does as being told, but he wants her to shake her body.
An artists life is tough..
next, maybe she files a defamation counterclaim  ?

I am sure she provided a performance, met her contractual obligations. Why is there no mention of the no show artist being sued?

Another mitigating factor could be she feared the army showing up again to cover her up.

I'm thinking it is better to be sued than have your attitude adjusted by whomever. Wait Wait; hasn't her attitude already been adjusted?

She cannot sing anyway how people can pay money to see such rubbish I cannot understand.

The promoters probably see her as vulnerable because of Uncle P.'s disapproval of her and thus an easy mark. No matter that they likely did not refund people's money to them, no one will bat an eye, Lamyai is down so she deserves more stomps and kicks. Nice bunch of people.

So apparently now the club wants to sue her because she wasn't twerking enough!!!!

Prayuted if you do. Sued if you don't.

She is under orders as to how to behave and being strictly monitored.  The fans should take their grievance to the Army

The poor girl is rushed off her feet after Prayuth's free publicity.  She's twerked out.

that's what happens when dirty old men try to silence a beautiful young lady who knows how to shake it! bet those old boys need a famous drug to fulfill their fantasies!

they should complain the Boss!

She is a singer or dancer? Clearly not a singer so I would only pay for her other "performance". In my private room .
