Officials said they have now raised several water gates by an additional 1.5 metres to a total 2.5-metre height. Water could now flow out at the rate of 605 cubic metres per second. By Monday morning, the water from the river upstream was flowing to the dam in Si Sa Ket’s Rasi Salai district at the rate of 45.4 million cubic metres per day. The rate is expected to rise to some 53.1 million cubic metres later in the day. The dam will receive floodwaters from Nakhon Ratchasima, Buri Ram, Surin and Roi Et. Stargeezr Posted August 1, 2017 Posted August 1, 2017 So the flooding down river from these dams will only get worse for sure. Good luck to those who live downstream from this dam, and other dams that open their flood gates. Geezer
Michael Hare Posted August 1, 2017 Posted August 1, 2017 We in Ubon Ratchathani will receive all the water from the opening of these dams., Rasi Sali, Lao Pao, Ubon Rat. I expect the waters to arrive in 8-10 days time. There may be a small break in mid August, but once more heavy rain storms come through in late August-early September, more water will be released.
